On the ground floor is a large lounge with a cosy sofa corner and fireplace. This is where community life takes place; during the day it is used as a coworking space, and once a week it is transformed into a restaurant for Avalon's legendary Curry Night.

Went for a curry with a group of 14, which was easily accommodated. The buffet had 8 different curries, with ample veggie / vegan options. Everything - the poppadoms, the naan, the curries, the staff - was tremendous. James is a terrific host, and I highly recommend to everyone.
Fantastic place! Makes you wanna live there for...forever! The whole place is extremely well taken care of, very friendly people, super clean and the view from the room was honestly the best! I want to come back in winter for snowboarding. This is just a very special, rare kind of accomodation. The terrace is perfectly built, lot of sun and cozy seating but also you can work in the shadow at the tables. Many boardgames and super cozy living room. I honestly can't wait to come back! Congrats for the lovely space you've created. You're an inspo!

If you stay here you’ll definitely see why it’s so highly rated. James and Dani are
extremely hospitable and the people who stay here are very welcoming. If you want to be an introvert it’s great for that also as people are respectful. There’s plenty of amenities and always some sort of event going on if you want to socialize. I stayed for Christmas and New Years and everyone truly makes you feel like family. I can’t say enough about how wonderful of a stay I had here and will definitely be returning.
