Outsite Madeira was the perfect first Outsite experience for me - it had everything I thought I needed, and so much more. The location on the beach front in Ponta do Sol is perfect. Waking up to the sound of the waves and the view of the ocean was magical. The room size with the small balcony was perfect. There's plenty of space in the common area to hang out and work alongside each other, and there's a free coworking space just up the road as well. But what made the stay so wonderful was Elisa, the community manager. As a local, she knows all the ins and outs and hidden gems of the island. Her suggestions were always spot on - hikes, spots to visit, restaurants and bars. You want it, she's got it! The only thing I'd do differently next time is getting a car straight away! It makes everything so much easier (and cheaper... damn those taxi prices), and there is plenty of parking around! I never had a problem finding a parking spot. I'd highly recommend it and I'm already planning a return visit.
This was truly one of the best accommodations/and outsites that I've stay in. The location is unbeatable when you can leave your door open and listen to the sea while you sleep. The rooms were clean, but dated. Outsite should listen to this and previous reviews and upgrade the bathrooms at the very least. The shared space is a tad small for working but the community co-working space is 2 mins away and free. And I had ample space in my room to work. The highlight, aside from the view is Elisa and her staff. She bends over backwards to organize events and integrate the community with your stay. She is always on top of things and always providing a ton of information on any event happening in the community and the island. Truly one of the best. A stay here is a must on Madeira. Oh and don't skimp on a car. It's necessary and cheaper than using ubers
I stayed at Outsite Ponta do Sol for around 2 months - I initially booked for just 1, but it was so great I extended (as many do!). The rooms/building is modern, comfortable and clean and Elisa is a great community manager, but my favourite part was waking up to the sound and sight of the ocean everyday, right outside your window - can’t be beaten! Ponta offers an amazing digital nomad community and Madeira is just a magical island. Would 100% recommend a stay here!
I loved my time at Outsite Ponta do Sol. The location is excellent - beautiful ocean view, spacious coworking area with loads of sunlight, big enough rooms, located in a digital nomad-friendly village with some decent options for food and activities and a coworking space, next to a small beach... Elisa, the community manager, is excellent: she had great ideas, super helpful & efficient, plus a cool and interesting person on top of it. I stayed in another coliving place in the north of the island and there is simply no comparison: Outsite is the best place you can stay if you seek to connect with like-minded people, privacy, & easy access to activities. Plus the weather is better than in the north of the island.
This was my first stay in community living for digital nomads, I wasn't sure what to expect but what I found was more than an 🌊 ocean view stay in beautiful Madeira but an amazing community manager, full of life and intuition and openness towards others. And like-minded people!!! If you feel like you're lost, go there and find yourself again in a new yet familiar environment. You can try many things from dancing to improv in the digital nomads village to see what fits you and you can do that surrounded by like-minded people who understand what your job title is (the amount of times I had to explain that to people in my life...). Very refreshing. And ELISA, she is the best, the community manager 💙
