Beautiful little oasis in the middle of a residential Miami neighborhood. Walking distance to downtown Miami and buses. The ambiance here is wonderful. A community of boarding houses nestled in big old palm trees with tropical plants and flowers all over the property. It evokes a feeling of Hemingway’s old world Florida. The staff was super friendly and cheery. The bar was gorgeous, a little However, the one thing I did not like was the uncleanness of the room. The room was actually huge, with a nice king-sized bed, shower with a tub, old wood floors and big windows. It could have been so lovely but the floors and surfaces had obviously not been cleaned in a while. The furniture was beat up and stained, the bed was kind of dirty and the pillows had a funk. Even after the staff came to clean in the morning, the floors were still dirty, surfaces still dusty, and a I saw the same dead spider in the corner the entire time. This is one area that they could and should definitely improve on. Aesthetically, this place is really great. But it could definitely use some TLC when it comes to cleanliness.
A very unique stay. I work downtown so it was perfect for what I needed - a 15 minute walk to the courts and a peaceful atmosphere. Definitely a bargain considering the room was large and the landscaping was fabulous and reception was really kind. The buildings are old Florida style so they’re not ‘sparkling clean’ and I would’ve loved a TV but was overall super pleased. And they have a resident cat, which was awesome.
If you are looking for a unique experience this is a good place for you! Absolutely not a cookie cutter boxed hotel. I have to start by saying that the staff is amazing, Victor at the front desk checked us in and he went above and beyond to accommodate us and gave the local tips, really nice guy. We had the chance to bump into the manager who was very hospitable, very nice guy, Colombian I believe (forgot his name). The Housekeping team always with a smile made us feel home. Couldn’t enjoy the yoga class due to my schedule, but they are fee!! 😊 haven’t enjoyed the Cocktail bar yet either.
If there would be 10 stars I would give them all to Selina Hotel. Starting from the reception Ayeli and Victor were just amazing with everything, very friendly, we felt like we went to someone in our family. Then, we me Glen (I believe the manager) , he also was amazing. Starting from now and on my stays will always be at Selina, and will recommend anyone I know to come and stay here. Location is perfect and prices are reasonable, or I can say best prices around. These place and these people making me come to Miami very often now.
I had an amazing time. The location is very convenient with nice scenery. Victor is a great manager who did a great job with helping me extend my stay. He was very understanding and flexible. This stay is very clean, well kept, and everyone is very nice and hospitable. Definitely recommend.
