First off, this is indeed not a 4-star hotel. This guesthouse-like establishment needs to update and remove the '4-star' on the profile. There are insufficient amenities, no doorman, and the main entrance door remains wide open even at night - a major security issue. Moreover, there's no proper lobby or front desk, and contacting the concierge requires physically going to the fifth-floor tiny counter (1-person desk). While the building was undergoing construction everywhere, at least reliving that it didn't affect the higher floors where my room was located. Upon entering the room, it was clear that it didn't match the photos on the website. Despite booking a premier King room, the room wasn’t that big and the bed didn't seem like a true King size. The cleanliness was also a significant issue, with mold in the shower, dust on surfaces, and debris on the floor, as well as stains on the curtains. Despite reporting these issues to the concierge, the response was not very helpful. Additionally, the shower and bathroom sink were clogged, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning and maintenance. The most egregious problem was being charged almost $300 USD immediately after check-out. Despite reaching out to Dash, there has been no resolution after 24 hours. It's concerning that such a simple inquiry requires this much time, especially considering similar experiences reported by other guests on reviews. Some guests have even waited over months for resolution, which is unacceptable. (I will update the post resolution if there’s any) In conclusion, this establishment falls far short of a 4-star rating and should be avoided at all costs. You will find better hotels around the area.
Room is fine but on the small side. There is constant noise from the bathroom fan. Support / service is a big problem! We called the hotel. No one answered. We left a message. They never called back. There is no way to email. In other words, if you have any questions or problems, you are stranded.
We didn’t love our stay here unfortunately, and feel like the hotel is not 4-star. The rooms are quite small (which was expected) however it was very rundown - our mattress was incredibly uncomfortable and there was a lot of mould in the shower. The “gym” is actually just a treadmill in the reception area. Overall it was fine and well located, but for the price we would probably not stay here again.
I stayed here back in January, I was charged 3000 HKD as security deposit and guranteed its return after 10 business day after check-out. Now it's almost April, I have still yet to recieve my secuirty deposit back from this hotel. Nor they respond to my emails. Book this hotel at your own risk.
I was a bit scared to stay here after seeing some bad reviews, but it exceeded my expectations 😊 The location itself is good and is a 5 minute walk from Sheung Wan station. It's also walkable to central, michelin restaurants, highly rated cocktail bars, good coffee shops, and a grocery. The room itself had a cozy feel and all the products provided in the bathroom are natural. There are 3 rooms per floor and the exclusive elevator access makes it secure. WiFi, hot water, and aircon were working well. It's true that the walls are thin so you could hear talking in the hallway or their shower/hairdryer, but I didn't really mind it too much. My only comment would be the beds because they were very hard, springy, and uncomfortable after many nights there 😭 Aside from that, our stay was perfect!
Stayed here twice and was given the same room 603 and was told that the hotel was full on both occasions and that I couldn’t change my room despite my pleas that my room wasn’t comfortable and noisy. In honesty, the owners of the hotel paid attention to detail when it was built. You can tell that they were empathetic towards guest needs. However, when it comes to guests sleep, it’s a different story. My room was on the 6th floor and I could hear every car passing by and every street conversation through the hotel’s paper thin windows. I even suspected that the window was open. Absolutely terrible. The bed is another disaster, the right side (which is the only accessible side has sunk in because it is the only usable side) feels like sleeping in a grave. Honestly, I came back for a second time hoping to get a better room and to have a better experience, but was left with a bitter taste in my mouth and very disappointed.
