Sharing my experience so people can avoid this place at all costs: No soundproof at all: My neighbors came back at 11pm. I not only heard their conversation word by word, but also their sneezing throughout the night. It turns out the two rooms are separated not by a solid wall, but a connected door... No 24h front-desk service: I tried to call the front desk at 3am as I really could not fall asleep with the noise, but it only operates from 9-6pm. And you have to reach them through an emergency number pasted only on the front door (connected to the street). As a girl, I was scared to go downstairs in the middle of the night. Poor attitude: when I spoke with the manager next morning, he not only blamed me for not realizing the rooms were connected earlier, but also blamed me for not dialing the emergency number. He also promised the GM would reach out, who never did. Restroom smells: I can hear other people flush the toilet, shower, and the sewage smells... Again, avoid this place at all costs. I don't understand where the 4-star and rating come from, it is not only bad structural design but evil people :(
Great location just one station away from Hong Kong station. The room are cute and compact. The location for the price is quite good. I’m reminded of hotel rooms in Japan small and compact. The service though leaves a lot to be desired. The front desk person barely knows anything about the area and seems indifferent when I complained that the TV remote was missing. He doubted that it was insisting on the phone that it should be there. I would stay here again for location and price, a decent place to sleep.
Stayed here twice and was given the same room 603 and was told that the hotel was full on both occasions and that I couldn’t change my room despite my pleas that my room wasn’t comfortable and noisy. In honesty, the owners of the hotel paid attention to detail when it was built. You can tell that they were empathetic towards guest needs. However, when it comes to guests sleep, it’s a different story. My room was on the 6th floor and I could hear every car passing by and every street conversation through the hotel’s paper thin windows. I even suspected that the window was open. Absolutely terrible. The bed is another disaster, the right side (which is the only accessible side has sunk in because it is the only usable side) feels like sleeping in a grave. Honestly, I came back for a second time hoping to get a better room and to have a better experience, but was left with a bitter taste in my mouth and very disappointed.
I was a bit scared to stay here after seeing some bad reviews, but it exceeded my expectations 😊 The location itself is good and is a 5 minute walk from Sheung Wan station. It's also walkable to central, michelin restaurants, highly rated cocktail bars, good coffee shops, and a grocery. The room itself had a cozy feel and all the products provided in the bathroom are natural. There are 3 rooms per floor and the exclusive elevator access makes it secure. WiFi, hot water, and aircon were working well. It's true that the walls are thin so you could hear talking in the hallway or their shower/hairdryer, but I didn't really mind it too much. My only comment would be the beds because they were very hard, springy, and uncomfortable after many nights there 😭 Aside from that, our stay was perfect!
I stayed here back in January, I was charged 3000 HKD as security deposit and guranteed its return after 10 business day after check-out. Now it's almost April, I have still yet to recieve my secuirty deposit back from this hotel. Nor they respond to my emails. Book this hotel at your own risk.
