Rojo room was big and quiet, highly recommend it since some people told the others were kinda noisy.
Bueno Bootcamp partnership was a great benefit as I could take funcional training classes for free in Turia park or Las Arenas beach as much as I wanted.
The vibe of the coliving depends a lot on the people that are there during your stay, and I feel lucky to meet amazing people there ;)
Dear Folks Coliving Team,
My experience at Folks Coliving was truly very positive. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home thanks to the warm, peaceful, and friendly atmosphere.
I also had excellent flatmates, which made my stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Lau, who made me feel very welcomed and comfortable from the beginning.
The location is excellent, and overall, I would definitely recommend Folks Coliving 100%.
Thank you again for such a great experience, and I hope to stay with you again in the future.
This is the worst "coliving" I’ve ever been to. It should be called Nofolks Coldliving! This place lacks basic business common sense and hospitality real experience.
I stayed here for 8 weeks. To be honest, this is just a shared apartment, but at least 20-30% overpriced. The first 4 weeks were horrible; things only improved because the new roommates were lovely and we finally hit it off and started organizing things ourselves. To bring you more details:
1. No management & community vibes. There is zero hospitality here. We had to organize every single activity. One girl even had to organize her own birthday entirely by herself! The "Community Builder": He was supposed to be responsible for onboarding and community, but we (the customers) ended up onboarding more guests than him. I never saw him except when there was free food. Zero process: no contracts, no summary of terms or main rules, no welcome email with the address or useful info, no reminder notes in the appartment. I told the owner, but nothing changed. After over a year in business, you expect something else.
2. Customers doing the staff's job. Onboarding was a mess honestly. For weeks, we had to onboard new guests ourselves without a single "thank you." We didn't even know when people were arriving! Overall the house is clean. Guests have to take care of their bedroom themselves which is unclear at the beginning. But still, there were issues: one day, the cleaning lady left bedsheets in the washing machine for over 48 hours. I ended up hanging them myself just so I could use the machine... and when they finally dried, they just put them back in the wash! Again, no "thank you" or common sense.
3. Poor facilities & maintenance. I know this is Spain, but still…
--> Health & hygiene: There were ants in the kitchen during my entire stay. The only solution offered? White vinegar. On the 4th floor! It did not stop ants from coming back every single evening. Also, the "non-stick" pans are peeling and cracked, which is a real health hazard. Many plates are cracked. Additionally, dry food is stored in direct sunlight during the mornings (poor food).
--> The bathroom leak story: When I arrived, there was a lot of dirt leaking from the window of the (really) tiny bathroom. After looking outside, it was clear the pipes had been damaged for weeks & I still don't know exactly what that "dirt" was 💩. Fortunately, it was eventually fixed, but I wonder how anyone could have ignored such a blatant problem for months! During the repairs, we couldn't use the toilet or shower during the day, and zero support or alternatives were provided. I literally had to go to the gym just to pee.
--> Wi-fi: even if the tests show it is fast, to be fair, it’s painfully slow (2-3 mbits/s) when you actually try to upload files. The router is in one bedroom (bad for health and signal), so I often had better Wi-Fi on the rooftop than in my own room. Yes the rooftop is a nice add-on :)
4. Atmosphere & noise : the interior design is cold and feels more terrifying than creative, especially the main corridor. The kitchen design is much better. If your room is on the train station side, good luck sleeping. The insulation and windows are so bad that even earplugs didn't help much. I track my sleep quality and it was really bad even when I thought I had a good night. The mattresses are way too soft and have clearly never been rotated. This probably caused a 'hole' to form in the middle very quickly, making it even harder to get any decent rest. Once I had rotated mine, it was a bit better. Again, not my job.
All in all, if you don't get along with your roommates, you are on your own. I could go on, but I’ll stop here. Good luck managing a business this way.
From mid-December to mid-January, I lived at Folks Coliving Valencia, a community house. I had a great time there and really loved staying there — I truly enjoyed every moment and left with many great memories. I also really loved the concept. During my stay, I met many kind, friendly, and motivated people. Laure was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my time there 🙂
The apartment and the room I rented were clean and well-organized. The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of Valencia — it’s hard to find a better place than this. I can only recommend it.
There are restaurants, cafés, shops, and a gym nearby — everything you might need is within walking distance.
If I ever return to Valencia, I will definitely stay here again ❤️
What a great space! We stayed in the Marrakech room for 1 month and it was perfect. The people we lived with were great, Laure (landlord) is so welcoming and quick to respond if you have any issues. She also knows a lot of people and runs a coworking networking event on a Wednesday morning for other digital nomads. There’s a great sub community of expats who organise padel games, dinners, meet ups etc which she shares with you and the location of the apartment is ideal. Close to supermarkets, restaurants, 30 minutes on one bus to the beach! If you’re looking for a place to stay in Valencia, choose this spot!
