I met some lovely people during my 6 month stay here, but I also met a lot of terrible personalities. Management does little to protect residents. There was rumors that someone had threatened someone else with a knife. It was documented and reported to the police that someone else had been assaulted and slammed into a wall, and management made excuses for the perpetrator. I personally witnessed the same perpetrator behave aggressively towards my friend and shouting things at her I won't repeat. When I complained about mismanagement, I still had to pay a penalty to get out of my lease. The owners only care about your money.
There are some wonderful people here, but that is mixed with some awful attitudes, hostility, constant drama, and constant surveillance. There are cameras everywhere, and the smallest mistake is treated with wildly intense hostility. I was told one time that because I forgot to use soap after washing out a pan with bread that "I could be charged with manslaughter if someone with a gluten allergy used that pan after you." When I was living there, Not a single person in the house had any sort of gluten allergy. great space for a short time to meet people, do not sign a lease here. Trust me. The mindsets in this place are... terrible as well. So many people have given up, and wasting away in this place. Haven uses a rent website called RentVine, which was probably the worst management I have dealt with as a young professional. Completely unresponsive, and tended to blame the tenant instead of handling the problem. When I arrived, it was $795 a month- and by the time I left, I was paying $1300 a month. Prices are constantly going up for no reason. The space is beautiful, but the people here are... not great for the long term. On Multiple accounts there were homeless that would break in and steal bikes, I've seen so many scream-matches as fights arise... Month to month is a good option, but for a longer lease, You can find better, Would not recommend.
I was only there a month, no one was there to help me move in or greet me. I had to figure out how to get in myself. Multiple appliances such as the oven were broken while I was there. Very strict rules that make you feel like you’re back living with your parents. The original communication said that prices would be
Run away! Terribly corrupt management with strict rules. Rats in the house, and the worst of all: Full of mentally retarded occupants. I even got physically attacked.
Robert (the owner) is so incredibly kind. I usually don’t ever write reviews but his act of kindness really touched me. This place is truly magical, it’s the people that make it. A safe haven for anybody that needs it. A spacious rooftop, nice hot tub, cute balcony and a fireplace. I just love it here!!! Would recommend it to anybody.
