🏨 has short staysFine for a workation, but significant turnover works against coliving principles for a cohesive community; a longer minimum stay supports better interactions. What is coliving?⌨️ non-ergonomic workspaceEither or both proper desks and chairs missing, though a workspace is separated allowing focus.💁 has host / managerOften on site to give suggestions and take questions, but do not actively facilitate community.🤷 ranks poorlyAs a 'coliving' this space likely doesn't meet expectations — yet may be acceptable if you're not expecting too much. Proof that living in a shipping container can be... surprisingly classy.
I fully expected to be sleeping in a metal box with a shower the size of a cereal cupboard, but colour me impressed. The room was cleverly laid out, the shower had actual elbow room, and I didn’t once hit my head on anything (a personal metric of luxury).
The communal spaces were a brilliant touch, modern, welcoming, and just quirky enough to make you feel like you’re part of something cooler than you probably are. And the location? Smack in the middle of Tallinn’s creative heartbeat, with the Old Town a short walk and enough street food and market stalls nearby to derail any diet.
Genuinely looking forward to staying again if I get the chance, next time I’m bringing less skepticism and more appetite.
Impressive hotel with container-room idea. Staffs are so nice. We have one 3 year-olds kid and the room is just perfect for us. The bed was comfy. The room is very clean. I would be back to this hotel if I visited Tallinn next time. Highly recommended.
My partner and I stay here for one night, I really enjoyed the overall aesthetics of the hotel. The hotel breakfast was actually incredible, one of the best we had over the course of an 11 day stay in Estonia. Unfortunately, heard the hotel is frozen, which is quite a tragedy, he chose everything about our stay was perfect. The bed was incredibly comfy, the room, just by doing the container was very spacious, and the location was amazing. Periodyou are just a short walk away from so many sites store as attractions and restaurants. I really hope Hotel finds a way to stay open or that someone buys it.
A very unique stay in Tallin! A friend who had previously stayed here recommended this hotel! It is conveniently located across from a supermarket, Balti Jaama Food hall, train station and only 10 minute walk from the old town! The check in was very simple - you receive a code to enter the building and your room. The room is simple but the bed and pillows are very comfortable! Lots of open areas to work and hang out throughout this facility. I very much recommend Hektor Container Hotel!
Amazing concept for a hotel. The containers are very cozy, clean and comfortable. It is also well insulate and quiet, so you're guaranteed a very nice sleep, and the beds are very comfortable too. The location is great, 15 min walk to the old town and also well connected to the train and tram network. Lots of food options nearby.
I mean you get what you pay for and it's clean.. location was my key.. tho I had to spend some time getting the door codes etc right, if you might be in a hurry and get unlucky like me, it might be a bit frustrating, hence 4star for service but the admin was very helpful and came to aid fast, in total it was like an extra 30min cause my door code didn't work and was needed to be changed or something... The breakfast was amazing!! Do recommend that! I had a great time even thought personally my private experience was quite horrible, so it must mean something about the place amirite?
I stayed in the hotel during the Open House Tallinn festival, it was a beautiful hotel with an interesting concept! Sleeping in containers was great, the rooms are big enough and very cozy. The hotel has a strategic location and is located next to the market, bus and tram stops and the train station. It's about a 10-minute walk to the center.☺️ I really liked the breakfasts, which had a large selection of vegan dishes as well. I will definitely choose Hektor Container Hotel on my next visit to Tallinn!💙
