The owner, Fenton, has created a beautiful place where he and all the staff do everything they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, hospitality in its purest form!
And as the cherry on top: the rooftop terrace, where you can relax while enjoying the view of Morocco or enjoy one of the many activities.

My experience at Hostal Africa was great. Our apartment was clean and cozy and it was very quiet at night. We also had a big terrace where we could have breakfast and enjoy the view. Everyone working there is very nice and always ready to help :) I would definitely recommend!

I had a terrible experience at Hostel Africa — my Dyson hairdryer was stolen during my stay. The staff offered no help and took no responsibility. I do not feel safe recommending this place to anyone. Avoid if you value your belongings.
You won’t regret staying here. The decor is extremely tasteful, the owners are friendly and helpful, the cleaners are delightful, the breakfast cabinet is thoughtfully stocked and the terrace is out of this world. They also made a great hire recently with Capu to help facilitate the social side of the hostal and open the eyes of the guests to the non-kite surfing side of tarifa. The recommendations given for food were excellent too. These guys know tarifa like the back of their hand. The location is also perfect - near handy supermarkets and beautiful brunch spots but also quiet. Thank you so much F&F for the wonderful stay.

Found this lovely hostal during the off season as a nomadic co-living and was the best choice for my longer stay in Tarifa. Owner is such a wonderful person with welcoming and heartwarming energy. Also it was my first choise the second time I visit Tarifa in May. Rooms are super clean, coffee is waiting for you in the morning, we had yoga class every day on the terrace! Love it. Such a home to me ❤️
