I had an amazing experience in Windhoek Kamatjona co-living space was excellent—comfortable, and welcoming. The host was truly one of the best I’ve ever had, and he and his team were always supportive, helping us navigate our stay with ease. Tuta, the owner, made me see Namibia from a completely different perspective. It’s a place I will definitely return to.

Great 4 day road trip around Namibia with Kamatjona. Everything was well organized and Nolbert our guide and driver took really good care of us. I also stayed at the coliving before and after the trip, very friendly vibe and easy communication. Would definitely recommend, especially for private trips.

I really can’t say enough good things about Kamatjona! Tuta, Nolbert, and the whole crew are genuinely some of the kindest humans I’ve ever met. I came very last minute, as I was dealing with a lot of travel cancellations. From the minute I arrived, I felt like I had a family in Namibia, and that experience made the trip and stay feel incredibly special. I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in Windhoek, and I’m looking forward to coming back soon and doing an epic road trip. Amazing stay with amazing people—thanks again!

DO NOT STAY HERE - ZERO SECURITY WARNING: VIOLENCE, NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE This review absolutely breaks my heart to write. But please read the following account of what can happen and the owner's despicable actions/lack of action to remain safe. Don't suffer the same fate as me. I arrived in Windhoek to intern for 6 months, and had been told that Kamatjona was a safe place. I had no idea what exactly the standards were for this neighborhood, but was assured by many, many people that this was enough. Literally one week into my stay, there was an armed burglary where 4 masked men broke in and stole EVERYTHING. $4,000 USD worth of stuff, attacked with knives and guns. The police report is attached below as evidence. Here's the reason why this is important for your consideration, since this kind of crime is very prevalent in Windhoek. There are ZERO security features at this establishment. No armed security, no 24/7 security, no alarm system, panic button, dogs, etc. NOTHING. In the aftermath of this horrific incident, the owner was less than helpful - disclaiming responsibility, focusing more on his own feelings rather than helping be proactive to find solutions. He wasn't even in town when this happened, leaving without setting any security measures. The most disgusting part was that after such a shocking and traumatic event, after confronting him, he found issue with how 'rude' I was being, despite having just suffered a near-death experience and losing EVERYTHING from phones, computers, cash, passports, etc. This shows the kind of attitude with which the owner runs this place. He is not someone who will be proactive to make this the best experience possible, or even the most secure possible. He is someone who will only act after horrific things have happened, wait for them to disappear back to their countries, and will wait until the next horrific event takes place - which if you stay here, could be you. He did NOTHING to help resolve the situation. It was only through the help of my company and a local friend's family that I was able to regroup and make it out of Namibia alive. In the end, this security lost me both the Namibia experience and the work experience because of disruptions. All because of the lack of security provided by this establishment, and I had to return prematurely to the USA. I have the police report attached below as evidence because it's clear they have not been helpful either. No personal details are still relevant, but please do remember this when considering this place. All the other reviews might be about their fun and cool travels, but 1. this place has zero security, which means this kind of event could happen to you, and 2. when something does happen, you will NOT be assisted by the owner or anyone else responsible. I'm sure the owner can pull any excuses he wants in the response. This review will be edited accordingly below. What will not be edited is the police report, which I hope you have a look at and take a LONG think before even considering staying here. I hope that you may choose another safe establishment in Windhoek and enjoy Namibia much more than I did.

My name is Tanja and I have been staying at this accommodation since the beginning of September. I feel very comfortable and safe here. The hosts are super nice and very helpful at all times. I also went on a 4-day tour with Nolbert from Kamatjona during my stay here. It was simply amazing and highly recommended! I'm still staying with Tuta and Nolbert and can really recommend this accommodation. ❤️

I 1000% recommend Tuta and Kamatjona! I stayed at Kamatjona coliving for 1 week and Tuta made me feel at home right away! The coliving was quiet and had fast & reliable internet for remote work, but the highlights of the trip were hanging with Tuta and his friends. I had so many adventures including a huge Oktoberfest party, playing soccer and Padel, visiting Hage's art studio, a Township tour, and a safari/tour at Naankuse Reserve. If you're headed to Windhoek, get in touch with Tuta!

I did a 4 day road trip with Kamatjona from Windhoek to Walvis Bay. It was such an amazing experience! Our guide Tuta was so fun and took care of everything. It was just me and 2 other solo travelers, so it was practically a private tour, and so really well priced considering that. The landscapes were some of the most stunning I’ve ever seen, so even the long drives were enjoyable. The accommodations were a mix of camping, glamping and hotels, all of which were very safe, clean and comfortable.

I had a wonderful stay at Kamatjona! Tuta was super nice and made us feel right at home. I loved spending time with him and his friends; they really created a friendly atmosphere. The place was comfortable and perfect for relaxing (pool) and working (good chairs). I had such a great time and can't wait to come back! Highly recommend Kamatjona for anyone looking for a welcoming community in Windhoek!
