Great hotel in a top location at the Funan Shoppingcenter! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay very pleasant. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the park, which was a real highlight. Perfectly located for exploring Singapore, with everything close by. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
My experience stay for 3 days and 2 nights here is very uneventful. Everything goes as my expectation. Need to highlight that the location is very strategic yet it’s not noisy, therefore it’s a very nice location for tourist. However, you need to put the budget into consideration, because it’s not a cheap hotel. 2 million ++ IDR / night … Please note that our room has windows + double bed.
1 September 2025 I stayed one night at lyf Funan and found it modern, clean, and very convenient -- right above the mall (known as a tech hub) with food, shopping, and transport at your doorstep. The co-living concept gives the place a youthful, social energy that’s different from traditional hotels. The design of the room was compact and minimalistic. It’s important to note that lyf operates as a co-living concept rather than a typical serviced hotel. Many amenities are shared, and the hospitality style is more casual. As someone used to more serviced hotels, this took a little adjustment. For example, I wasn’t sure how guest services worked: there wasn’t a phone in the room, so I initially went downstairs for towels and toiletries set. Only later did I notice a shared phone in the pantry, though I wasn’t sure how it was meant to be used. It made me realise that part of the lyf experience is being a little more self-sufficient and open to communal spaces. Once I understood this, I could see the charm: it’s social, central, and comfortable for solo travelers. Guests just need to come with the right expectations: It’s not a luxury hotel, but a fresh, community-driven alternative.
The location is great, within walking distance of the main attractions. The room was small but clean, with everything you needed. The staff was engaging and helpful. I would not recommend booking with breakfast if you are not into Asian breakfast (limited Western food options). Also, the hotel is next to a fire station, so you might hear some noise in the room (in case you are sensitive and can’t use earplugs). Overall, recommended for a short stay in SG.
There's a trend now for co-living design, from serviced apartments to new condos to maximize what younger people can afford to live or when they travel or as digital nomads. As an older traveler, it might be a bit confusing as to the minimalist decor and lack of amenities (where's the TV? we have our ipads...but ask, there are shared amenities including a laundromat). Some co-living residences are poorly managed (I can name a few). However ASR's Lyf Funan steps up to the plate. I really appreciate minimalist settings that are well designed, and honestly Lyf Funan is one of the best designed spaces I've ever experienced. The touches are thoughtful, the hooks on the wall, the bright cheery design, the little chalkboard outside to enable conviviality. Every furnishing has been thoughtfully detailed eg beds, spaces for suitcases, etc. The beds are comfortable and the showers are great. And the location is unbeatable. There are hotels in malls, and there are hotels in malls with wonderful food provision. Funan Mall has excellent food outlets. It is close to the MRT, extremely walkable, very accessible. Highly recommended.
Lyf Funan is a good, practical, clean, and well-designed hotel for a working stay, located within the Funan shopping centre. The Funan shopping centre offers an extensive range of food, good coffee, and a WeWork space for those who need it. It is centrally located near the banking centre of Singapore. Kah Yoong is one of the front desk staff members, and like the facility, he is solid, capable, and practical. A good business stay hotel.
Rooms are adorable and homey, no TV and fridge inside but down the hallway, there's a common fridge and water dispenser where you can fill up your water bottle, they provide you a pitcher in the room for your water in case you don't have your own. Bed is super comfy as well as the pillows, blackout blinds, wooden floor, tiled bathroom with a rainfall shower head apart from your typical shower head. Spacious overall. Location is close to the metro. The hotel itself is attached to Funan mall, a McDonald's is located in the fround floor of the mall which closes at midnight. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful, you can ask them for directions and tips on where to dine and how to get there.
My stay here was absolutely amazing. Prime location, very convenient to get around. But the highlight was definitely the people here. Everyone was so hospitable and welcoming. I had some issues with my reservation; however, Lionel and Jasmine were trying so hard to assist me, even though they were so busy at the time. Jenny welcomed me with the warmest smile. I’m glad that I chose Lyf Funan for this trip, and I’ll definitely stay here again.
