Where to start? The 'promised amenities' were more like distant dreams. No one mentioned I'd have a broken fridge with all the cooling power of a hairdryer or a sink that drips like it's practicing for a leaky faucet competition. And the 'overall experience'? Let’s just say the only thing that really worked here was my regret for booking this place. For anyone considering staying here—save yourself and pick literally anywhere else."
If I’d known what I was in for, I would’ve stayed anywhere else. The room itself felt neglected—dusty surfaces, poorly functioning lights, and a stale odor that hit the moment I walked in. Basic amenities like the TV and mini-fridge were either broken or unreliable, and the air conditioning seemed to have a mind of its own. Reaching out for help was a chore, as it took multiple calls just to get a minor issue addressed. For what I paid, I expected far more, and frankly, I’m disappointed in the lack of care put into both the rooms and the customer service. Expected more from the hotel😤
lyf Funan Singapore really missed the mark. The management feels disorganized, and the lack of basic amenities like a TV in the room is baffling. This place isn’t designed for comfort – definitely not for elderly guests or tourists expecting even a basic hotel experience. It’s more like a hostel with high prices but low standards. Not recommended if you’re looking for a relaxing stay.
The property location is good. Attached to a mall and there's a McDonald's which opens at 7am when nothing else is open. Check in was very slow. Even though I prefilled the requested information into their app before arrival, it was blank. Not sure who these rooms are designed for. There is no TV and the one in the common area only has 1 channel! The room space is unusable because of a large fixed platform that the mattress is on. It blocks access to the window and blinds so you have to climb on the bed to open/close the blinds! It creates a painful way to stub your toes. Community refrigerator in hallway. Definitely not for older travelers and would not stay here again.
Great location, great room size. Not cheap but I think they have different size rooms. It has everything for coworking and that is about. A kitchen, couple pots, most of stove tops in repair and nothing else. Gym very small and very hot.Rooms not serviced everyday. In a shopping mall witch make easy to get coffee, breakfast, lunch.
My stay : 2024 Oct Overall) I chose this hotel based on overall rates with its location and age. Looking at atmosphere, it's modern and stylish for young generation so I felt good enough at reasonable price after all. Good) Location is on 4th floor in Funan shopping mall which was easy to find and also linked to MRT city hall staition, either exit B to the ground or exit D to the basement. Helpful when rainy. Overall clean and compact for 1 or 2 persons and some utility available such as self washing machine (it costs) near reception. You can also get disposables upon request at reception. Bad) Considering its rate, daily room-cleaning can not be provided. with my 2 nights, I couldn't have that one. Not sure it's been provided with how many days, need to check in advance when planning long stay.
This hotel's location is excellent, no doubt about it. Centrally located and above the Funan mall which has all you will need. Staff were friendly. The only downsides revolved around the air con. The hotel lobby is quite warm/humid in the morning, likely because the mall is closed and air con is turned down. Air con in the rooms are also not very strong - the lowest setting is 20 C, which did not feel cool enough when there is direct sunlight. The air con was also audible, which could make sleeping a bit hard. Lyf Farrer Park didn't have these problems with the lobby or room, but it is located more out of the way.
