Lyf Funan Hotel. So blessed to have stayed here💙. Here are my honest opinions about this hotel:
1. Good location, just a 5-minute walk to the Old Hill Street Police Station and a 10-minute walk to the Singapore river where you can start your river cruise.
2. No restaurant, but the good news is you can just go to McD or a Pizza house on the first floor for breakfast or lunch.
3. Friendly and helpful staff to help you.
4. Cozy and cool lobby.
5. The hotel room doors are artistically designed with a cute blackboard next to the door and near the bed to jot down your itinerary.💙
6. There is a shared microwave oven and fridge.
7. There's a gym with cool tools
8. There's a kind of shared kitchen.
9. There's a paid, self service laundry machine and a drink vending machine next to the lobby
10. The room is big enough for two persons with a cute laundry basket.
11. The toilet has a bidet shower😁.
12. Good service.
13. My suggestion: I guess the laundry basket should be numbered as the room number, to avoid taking somebody's laundry basket.
The only amenity you will receive is a toothbrush. Please note that there are no slippers, etc.
The location is very good, but that is all.
Cleanliness is normal and there is no cleaning.
Also, the electric kettle is broken and many of the outlets do not work.
I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for cosmetic reasons, but if you are concerned about details, you should choose another hotel.
Rooms are very clean and cool design... easy access to MRT. Mall is not interesting for family visitors... but it's ok. Overall, it's good to book if coming with family. Service is very basic for the price we pay, but again, it's probably because it's in Singapore. Overall, it was a good stay and I'm looking forward to coming back again.. I am wondering how the 2 rooms that are connected inside a door... this is good for family.
I loved the idea of seeing green plants by the window in the morning. Room is well designed. Even the toothbrushes and shampoos were great quality. I used the iron stored in the corridor for common use, iron board and the iron were both new and high quality. It is such a well organized hotel that you always feel that they think of everything for you. We enjoyed our stay a lot and will look forward to other lyf hotels in other places of the world.
Lovely rooms, clean and tidy. Staff at the front desk were helpful and checking out at 12 was a big benefit after a busy few days. 2 min walk to the metro was fantastic for seeing Singapore and 10 min walk to water front was also a benefit. Wifi was a little dodgy but meant I spoke to my family more, they seem like nice people. Gym was very basic but there is a fantastic gym in the Funan complex and a day pass is 30 dollars which you can use their pool with too. Would stay again if I ever come to Singapore but quite frankly it's a long way away from the UK so I probably won't.
Good hotel overall; rooms are new and at a high standard, location is excellent.
However it is not a 4 star hotel; in our 3 night stay our room was not cleaned once, there are no breakfast facilities, the rooms do not have basic amenities such as a mini fridge, a tv or tea/coffee station. Overall all minor points and we enjoyed our stay, but it should be marketed as a 3 star at most.
The hotel is bound with Funan shopping mall which is convenient and great location and the reception is nice. 4 rooms, tow bath rooms and two toilets all are good to us.
One thing is when taking shower need to wait 3-5 minutes for hot water, this is the only one can improve better.
A good choice for family or multiple friends to stay.
