My experience with this accommodation was deeply disappointing due to a lack of transparency and reliability. During my stay, I experienced a severe traumatic incident outside the property, where I was robbed at knifepoint and held hostage for several hours. As a result, I was no longer able to continue my stay and had to leave after only 10 days of a 30-day paid booking. On the day of my departure, it was explicitly agreed that any nights re-sold after my departure would be refunded. Based on this agreement, I booked a flight and left the accommodation immediately. A partial refund of €150 (equivalent to 5 nights) was later issued. However, when I requested clarification multiple times regarding how many nights were actually re-sold in order to verify the calculation, this information was refused and described as “internal company data.” At the time, the publicly visible availability calendar showed 16 nights as re-booked. I proposed an amicable settlement that would still have left the accommodation with a clear financial surplus, but after that proposal, communication was discontinued. As a guest, this experience leaves you feeling misled and disappointed, as agreements made at a critical moment were later reframed and could not be transparently verified. I would strongly recommend future guests to exercise caution when booking this accommodation or the company behind it, as in difficult situations, support and follow-through may not be reliable. Given the circumstances, I would have expected a more empathetic, transparent, and professional approach.
The hosts are very nice and the house is exactly as advertized. The location is great, the area is rather beautiful and quite, but the beach and old city center are not to far of, even without a car. The house is designed perfectly for digital work, but also to hang out or have breakfast in the sun. The price for long term stay was very fair. All other residents are really chill and easy to be around.
I stayed at Macaw Coliving in Gran Canaria for three months, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning and something I never got tired of — perfect for both work breaks and sunsets. The community is one of the best parts of Macaw. I met incredible people from all over the world, and the atmosphere is very welcoming and inspiring. The team does a great job of creating opportunities to connect — I especially loved the hike they organized, which was a highlight of my stay. From a practical side, everything is set up perfectly for remote work. The WiFi is super fast and reliable, and the office/coworking space is excellent — comfortable, quiet, and well designed for productivity. Overall, Macaw is the perfect mix of work, nature, and community. I’m very grateful for my time there and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a coliving experience in Gran Canaria. I’d love to come back in the future.
Great place. I was staying there for a month and it was perfect for me as a remote worker. everything really clean a big space to work and quite location. Claval room with the view to the ocean was awesome. Highly reccomned for remote workers
Only available if you say you're a digital nomad. Lying will win over honesty :(
This co-living is located in a nice house on 3 floors in a relative quiet neighbourhood. Lots of morning sun. Great table tennis. Nice rooms, very spacious common rooms, big terrace, view on the harbour side. Almost hotel-style cleaning service, very well maintained. It’s rather a shared apartment than a co-living in that sense. There was no community manager or social activities when I was there. I think there was not even a group chat of all nomads living there. Sometimes I had no idea who actually lived there during my stay. But if you need to recover from a social overdose and/or want to do your own thing, and still have the occasional chat with other nomads - this is a perfect place for you.
Fantastic view, great host,we really enjoyed our stay. Strongly recommended.
Beautiful coliving, in a quiet area, perfect if you want to be close to the popular area of Las Canteras, but prefer to enjoy peace and quiet at home. The coliving is a gorgeous big house, with three floors, two kitchens, several outdoor spaces, multiple bathrooms, a dining area, several lounge areas and a workspace with the best view over the city. The house has several traditional Canarian features, but all the modern facilities one needs to work remotely. Internet is available everywhere in the house and is superfast. The host is super friendly and communicative and I'd definitely stay here again!
