Although the location and price are good, I cannot recommend this apartment. We were first given room 316, which smelled strongly of cigarette smoke despite being a non-smoking room. After changing rooms, room 420 was also poorly cleaned—dust on the bathroom heater(where fresh towels were) , window seals, and floor, and the fridge had not been wiped. The worst part was housekeeping: the room was not cleaned as scheduled, and the door was left OPEN, which is completely UNACCEPTABLE and raises SERIOUS CONCERN about SAFTY and PRIVACY. Very disappointing experience!! The video was recorded just before we wanted to enter the room🤬
Nice place for a stay of several months in Hamburg. It has a good S-Bahn connection to the city. The room is nicely designed, has everything you need, and the cleaning service is convenient. The internet works well. A big plus is that dogs are allowed for a small fee. Communication was easy and fast. However, the desk and chair are very uncomfortable. The desk is too low, so working or studying for long hours can easily cause back pain. The area can also be a bit challenging for a long stay. It’s next to a factory, so there aren’t many nice places to walk. To reach the shopping centre, you also have to go through some construction work.
Great room, easy check-in, great location(30 m from s bahn station). Try not to arrive too late at night slightly sketchy people on the path from the bahnhof to the hotel.
The room and everything else is fine, except the bathroom. I don’t know why it smells so weird that I don’t want to even take a shower. Other than that, the location is perfect, the staff is freidnly, have self-check-out, Nintendo Switch and boardgames in Sky Lounge. Because of the stinky bathroom, I will consider going back here again, despites of having other benefits. Also one of the coolest thing I’ve first ever experienced is this elevator.
Nice aparthotel located very close to Harburg S-Bahn and train stations. Comfortable rooms, although there is no air con so it can get hot. The staff are friendly and helpful, gave us a fan when we asked. Receptionist was very helpful when we had an issue with our room and changed our room (thank you Marie!). Definitely recommended.
The location of the hotel is great, right in front of Hamburg-Harburg train station. There isn't a dedicated parking place just for the hotel (as far as I'm aware), but we were able to park our car in front of the train station. The room was clean, but the location of the power outlets could be improved (some are difficult to reach). The view at the back of the hotel is a very big (old) factory, which I didn't mind, because there's not much they can do about it. The paternoster lift adds something special to the hotel, and honestly it fits fairly well with the factory right next door. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is amazing as well. There's a self check-in (and check-out) on the ground floor, but you can find the reception on the fourth floor. The last point of improvement I have is the main entrance of the hotel. Apparently, you need to fill in a code when you arrive after 10pm, but instead of remembering the code, why can't you just open the door with your room card? Especially after a long day your mobile phone can run low on battery, which contains the code you need to enter the building. So your only backup is writing down the code somewhere.
My husband and I spent 10 days in a room with separate bedroom and balcony. Be aware that if you decide to take a room with a balcony, your view is the back lot of a factory that has trucks coming in and out of it during weekdays. We never heard them but the view was drab. Definitely do not recommend if you plan on traveling in the summer or during mild weather and want to sit outside. The employees had their smoking area just outside of our room which was a little awkward when I stepped out for some fresh air. The kitchen was modestly equipped. We missed the lack of coffee maker and toaster which we went out and purchased for our use while there. Check in was indeed a little glitchy and we ended up having to go to the 4th floor where reception is located and the friendly young woman helped us. The room and the hotel are very clean. The Paternoster was fascincating and fun to ride once I gathered up the nerve to try it. One of very few left in Germany. Location across from the train station was very convenient. A week pass to ride all public transport in Hamburg is 29 Euro. Unfortunately the bus depot next to the train station is closed for constrution for the next two years. Plenty of shopping nearby (about a block). Parking was very easy at the P+R that is accessible on foot via the train station. 2 Euro per day. Large parking deck with plenty of spaces available. Parking closer is available at 14 Euro per day in the front of the train station (limited spaces) and in the Phoenix Center Parkhaus (only open from 8 am until 8:30 pm Mon-Sat) 15 Euro per day. I would definitely stay here again but in a room on a floor higher than 3. and facing southwest in the winter (for the most natural light) and northeast in the summer (no AC and it can get HOT in northern Germany!)
The room was excellent, and the staff were friendly. The bar views are fascinating. I stayed only for 1 night, I discovered that they offer apartments with balconies during my stay, enhancing the overall comfort of the experience.
