This is a wonderful place to stay - especially for large groups! It's just on the outskirts of town, close to the highway. Staying here makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. Terrific pool area for socializing. The staff are amazing and very accommodating.
Beautiful historical house near city center with own organic garden and sustainable facilities. Mr Jaime welcomed us in the night and spend time explaining about the farm and the work they are doing there with local communities. Seasonal garden crops are available for free to use in the cleaned common kitchen. It's really a farm with herbs garden, animals and vegetables plantations. It's was very fun!
Super friendly staff, with such an interesting point of view about everything, mostly everything is recicled and used for another things. It has a biological pool , barbecue, kitchen , living room with games and books, fire places at the rooms an amazing garden and parking place. The kitchen has fresh eggs everyday as well as vegetables, they will give you tupperwares very well identified and also a basket so you can grab some fresh fruits of the garden. It's very clean and well organized so far the best place i have been .
Beautiful old eco-friendly farm that has been restored in its original glory. Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, and a friendly and helpful staff. Nearly the whole house is accessible for guests, as well as their beautiful gardens with natural pool and several spots for relaxing.

I had the pleasure of staying at Quinta for the month of April, 2023. I met wonderful people and immediately felt like a part of a community when I arrived.
Joana and Jaime are exceptional leaders who have a contagious commitment to sustainability and community. Their entire team consistently went above and beyond to ensure that all guests felt welcomed and taken care of.
The property is a beautiful and historic Azorean manor that maintains an old timey charm while being updated to achieve and surpass the highest of modern sustainability standards with obvious rigour. Sustainability is a core value; you can feel good about your low impact environmental footprint when staying here!!
The location was perfect, about a 10 minute walk to central amenities in Ponta Delgada and right on the highway for quick access to the rest of Sao Miguel by car.
I was pleasantly surprised by the price and felt it provided an extremely high value for money.
I was incredibly impressed by the pristine cleanliness of the whole house... not an easy feat in an extremely humid environment in the middle of the ocean!! Everything was spotless, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail of the cleaning staff.
I can not recommend Quinta Do Bom Despacho enough! Thank you to everyone for making my first month in the Azores amazing. :)
