Our project was born out of our desire to continue to welcome people while preserving the very essence of the place. We are convinced that coliving is the best way to do this, as it allows us to host people for longer stays than simple holiday rentals. This way, our guests have the time to make the place their own and discover all the treasures of this house steeped in history.

I had a once-in-a-lifetime experience at La Roche Cotard. The space is absolutely amazing, from the castle, to the common/co-working areas, to the kitchen, living area, pool, BBQ and there's even a dog! The owners are amazing people who will show you a good time, hang out as little or as much as you want, and make you truly feel at home. I cannot recommend this place enough, and honestly words cannot do it justice.
One of the most beautiful places listed on coliving or Airbnb. Situated a short walk to a lovely small French village with a castle. The hosts and other co-livers share the vibes and make for an unforgettable experience.
I stayed at La Roche Cotard for one month in July 2024 and it was spectacular! I originally found the property on Airbnb but I learned later that you can book directly with them. It’s a co-living house and perfect for digital nomads or any guests looking for an extended stay. I spent my days working remotely and I spent the weekends exploring the Loire Valley, visiting castles, local wineries and medieval towns. There are seven bedrooms in total and the house was full when I stayed here, which was really special as we would spend time together in the evenings, cooking, watching movies or heading to the pool. My room was very comfortable and clean with an ensuite bathroom and desk for working (although there were plenty of spaces downstairs to work as well). Julien, Raph and all of their friends were great hosts, very accommodating and helpful with local tips and suggestions. I would love to stay here again and can’t recommend it highly enough!
I found La Roche Cotard on Airbnb last summer and decided to give it a shot, even though I'd never been to Langeais before. It's even more stunning in person than it is in the photos. My experience was so fantastic that I extended my stay from one month to six weeks. If I could have stayed longer, I totally would have! During my time there, I met co-livers from all over the world - China, Australia, the US, Spain, and France. It was pretty cool, and although I've travelled extensively, it definitely broadened my horizons. The hosts are some of the kindest people I've ever met, and they were always warm and welcoming. I still recall how Bernard would always say to me, "On est chez vous", and how that made me feel right at home. Plus, it was great brushing up on my French and learning more about French culture from them. Langeais is in a great spot - away from the craziness of city life, but still close enough to easily get to Tours and even Paris. I even managed to squeeze in a weekend trip to London from the airport in Tours, which was super convenient. The WiFi was solid, and there was plenty of space to unwind whenever I needed some me-time. But there were also lots of fun times shared with the hosts and other guests, like dinners, drinks, Sunday markets, wine tastings and other activities in Langeais. I'm already counting down the days until I can go back, and I cannot recommend La Roche Cotard highly enough.
La Roche Cotard is a unique place for long-term stays. My room was private with a very clean private bathroom, functional work space, and comfortable bed and linens. The château and grounds are spectacular. The common areas are also well equipped with reliable wi-fi and lots of places to work throughout the house. There's a supermarket across the street, with a short walk to the town of Langeais, which hosts a pretty large market every Sunday. Plus, you can easily catch the train from Langeais to Angers, Tours, and beyond, so traveling without a car is no problem. Finally, it was great to connect with the other guest, as well as Julien, Raphaëlle, and their friends. They're very friendly and well-connected in the community, so they will go out of their way to arrange activities and make your stay memorable. I highly recommend la Roche Cotard!
