The only thing going for this place is that it’s cute. There was no fridge-raider, Even though the building central air, we still didn’t get any air in our room and it was hot all night. I couldn’t get any sleep. The beds were wicked uncomfortable. we waited a long time for a room to get ready the next day I found out why housekeeping hang around doing nothing in the chairs outside our bedroom, talking being disruptive. Not recommend this place at all!!!!!!!!
Thor, helped me out with the check in. Super friendly dude and his willingness to make sure everything was done right was extremely helpful! I stayed 2 nights, a weekday. My experience was very nice. Calm and tranquil hostal. I’m sure in the weekends might be more loud. But weekdays is a perfect spot. In the heart of downtown Miami. But once you are inside it seems you are somewhere (lots of nature inside the hostal) Very convenient location from the train to and from the airport. It has a community kitchen (no super fancy, but to make a quick meal is good) They also offer private rooms, I stayed in a 4 bed shared room. It was perfect. Clean, quiet, well located! Highly recommended! Thank you so much for your hospitality, Thor!
This Selina is fabulous. Beautiful grounds, clean comfortable rooms (with ac), great bar and pool on site. The best part was the service, thank you for a wonderful stay Thor & Victor. Ill be back!
We enjoyed everything about our stay except for 1 thing: the draw bridge that was right outside the window of room C303 (see the photo). This thing keep going off all through the night. DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING... It finally stopped around 1:30AM, just to wake us up at 3:30AM again. Thankfully our flight was delayed so we could sleep in an extra hour, but we only had 2-3 hours of sleep combined. How is this the fault of the Selina Miami River Inn? No warning, no ear plugs provided, and if you know the sound is going to be that bad, you can cover the windows with sound dampening film to help. I think we go the worst of it since the gate for the bridge (and the bell) were right by our window. We enjoyed everything else about the stay, except for this. If we knew it was going to be this way, we would have stayed somewhere else.
Nice spot, great area for working, good pool, the location is great. It’s more of a relaxed villa rather than a hotel. Thor was very friendly made our stay better.
The staff were friendly but room we stayed at was nothing like the pictures. The doors of our room and the bathroom looked beat up, and the locks on the doors all looked tilted so we couldn't fit the key in. Also, the room was on the 3rd floor and we asked the staff if we could swap to one of the rooms on the 1st floor since we have 3 luggages and they have no elevator, plus the key wasn't working anyway, and there were only like 3 cars in the parking lot which I assume they'renot packed. He came to open the door and help us move the luggages upstairs, so we didn't get to swap the room. Later we saw the rooms on the first floor were the ones yall see in the pictures and they were empty, which I find it odd that why couldn't we use the nicer rooms? At the room that we stayed in, there's a bed, a closet and a table in the room and that's about it. The bathroom is small and looks old. The extra star is for the ac and cleanliness of the room. Although the staff was friendly, I still couldn't think of a reason of why couldn't we use one of the rooms on the first floor.
Stayed here for Music Week, the vibe is great, it doesn’t feel like a corporate hotel, more like a chilled villa. It was a great experience and the staff were very nice. Only downside was the cleaners making noise quite early in the morning. But I suppose my late nights didn’t help! Definitely would recommend as the location is superb!
