WORST STAFF EVER. AWFUL ANNA MINSKA, AWFUL SANDA LISOVA. PURE EVIL.
They do not even desereve this 1 star. If there was a zero star grade i would have put that. THIS WAS BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD.
I have lived there for the past year and i can tell you that the Staff is so violent so aggressive such a scammers with all the fines. Handyman is always drunk and smokes. Seen him whistling to other girls and staff didnt even do anything about it. I reported violence and they did nothing. Place is always dirty, tenants are loud and rude. Bad wifi, far away from main station, always fire alarms.
i can go on forever.
The staff should be fired ASAP.
This is 100% from my personal experience with fully documented proof for everything i said.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
A place designed exactly for students! ✨
Clean, safe, and comfortable… With your own private kitchen and bathroom, you can enjoy the freedom and convenience of feeling truly at home.
Within the residence, you’ll find study rooms to focus on your courses, a gym to stay fit, and billiards and table tennis for fun breaks.
Shared spaces also give you the chance to meet new people and socialize in a vibrant community.
On top of all that, many more student-friendly facilities are waiting for you here… ❤️🙏🏼
Best place to choose if you want to stay at Riga. As a student it has everything you need. It’s clean, good designed, rooms are very nice, they’re new, bright. Location is amazing, it is very quiet. You can also make some friends here, people here are great as well. I will definitely recommend it to other people.
I stayed at SHED for the first few months of my stay in Riga and overall it was a great experience. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well-equipped, and having your own kitchenette and bathroom was great. It is also a short walk to a very large shopping centre and public transport options, making it a great location. Sanda and Anna were great! They were both attentive and responsive, going out of their way to assist their residents with any issues.
I've been living at Shed Co-living in Riga for 3 years now, and I can confidently say it’s been nothing short of amazing! 🏡💛 I’ve never faced any serious problems here. Instead, I found a real home away from home, where I met some of my dearest friends and truly settled into a new country during my studies 🇱🇻📚.
What makes Shed even more special are the wonderful managers, Anna and Sanda they’re always here to help with anything, and they genuinely care about us. They support us, cheer for us, and are just happy to see us grow. Their kindness means the world! 💫🌷
Yes, I’ve seen some negative reviews, but I honestly don’t agree with them at all. After 3 years here, I can confidently say this is a perfect place for any student looking for comfort, warmth, and unforgettable memories. ✨💖 My brightest moments and most cherished memories were made here, and I’m forever grateful to Shed for making my student life so special and cozy. Thank you, Shed! 💕🌟

WORST PLACE IN RIGA!
I lived there for a year and i can honeslty say,
Service is horrible.. starting from head manager Sanda to front office manager Anna.. They are so rude.
It is so loud, full of racism and violence. Gym is tiny. Internet is bad. Location is far away from uni. you need to walk long 15 mins only to tram station or bus. constant random fire alarms at any time. be ready for them to enter your room without any consent because as they say "they have the right you signed the contract" even mid sleep or shower. they only care about money and fines. if something brakes it wont be fixed.
If you are a parent reading it, don't send your daughter to SHED. Save her the humiliations of whistles from men, sexual comments and approaches.
SHED owners i hope you read this and know how your managers Sanda and Anna are behaving.. people are afraid to complain from fear of fines and honeslty there is no one to complain to. The email to complain on them is theirs and they will not provide any other email. In this way, they control everything and no complaints can be made about them. i took the time to do so here publicly hoping something will change for the tenants there and future tenants.
That was my awful experience.
Worst Experience of My Life.
I lived at SHED and I truly wish I hadn't. This place was an absolute nightmare from day one, and I feel it's important to share my experience so others don’t go through the same.
Let me start with the safety issues which are beyond concerning. There were multiple instances of verbal and even physical harassment, including sexual comments and behavior, especially directed at women. Complaints to staff were ignored, and nothing was ever done to make the place safer. It felt like they just didn’t care, as long as they were getting paid.
Racism was another huge issue. Openly tolerated and never addressed even when reported. There was a clear culture of neglect and discrimination here, both from some tenants and the staff.
On top of that, there were constant problems with people smoking indoors cigarettes and weed and again the staff did nothing. The noise levels were out of control, with parties almost every night, loud music from rooms, and tenants yelling at all hours. If you're trying to study, concentrate, or simply sleep, forget it. not to mention there are construction sites nearby, adding even more noise every single day.
The staff was incredibly rude and unhelpfull. They only cared about fines and money nothing more. Maintenance issues were never resolved. If something broke, you could expect it to stay broken for months. And they are very quick to charge ridiculous amounts from your deposit for the smallest things. I was charged over 100 euros for something extremely minor.
The gym is tiny, WiFi is unreliable, and basic things like vacuum cleaners were almost never available. You even have to pay extra just to do your laundry, which often isn’t possible because the machines are always in use.
Worst of all, there is a total lack of privacy and boundaries. Staff entered my room without consent, even when I was in the shower. I was shocked and terrified. This was one of the most unsafe and uncomfortable experiences I’ve ever had.
The whole building constantly smelled like cigarettes and weed, and the fire alarms went off all the time, which added even more stress.
I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT live here. There are better, cheaper, and much safer options in the city. I regret ever moving in and I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially not to women or students looking for a peaceful, respectful environment.
Save yourself the stress. SHED is a BIG NO.
