The management seems unconcerned about the issues we face as residents.
People leave common areas too dirty! They don't clean their dishes in the common kitchen and leave trash everywhere. Study room can be really loud sometimes, people don't obey the basic rules.
Also the noise cancellation in the rooms is almost nonexistent. You can hear everything someone does.
For the laundry, both washing machines and dryers are too expensive. You need to pay each time 3.5+2.5=6 euros, and since rooms are too small to put the laundries to dry, you are forced to use dryers also. There are no extra cleaning supplies to use, you need to buy it yourself. We wash our clothes only 2 times in a month or less, because of that we need to use dryer 2 times per normal load of the laundries. We wear the same clothes more than couple of times. The vacuum machine is also broken and old. Moreover, cleaning ladies are not doing their job well.
Storage is also not free (20 euros per luggage), even though there are a lot of people from abroad with the plans to stay here for a long time.
People are leaving smoke trashes everywhere on the entrance and it creates really unpleasant scene. Also people drink bottles of alcohol every night, be drunk and noisy. People here are mostly active in the night. Which makes it harder a students life.
Even though this place is for students and young professionals, there are a lot of OLD people here "I heard a middle aged guy talking about there is a lot of "chicks" here. Which made me really uncomfortable... Also, there is a lot of children as well (not teenagers real kids) running around.
They put effort in some things like events, which are good but these things should be taken care of.t
To be short, this place is NOT for the students!
I’ve had a disappointing experience with SHED Co-Living. While the building and rooms are modern, the management practices and additional costs are frustrating. One of the biggest issues is the unexpected extra charges for basics like laundry. For a place marketed to students, having to pay extra for every load of washing adds up quickly, making what seemed like an affordable option into something far less budget-friendly. Additionally, we are not provided with cleaning supplies properly, that would let us maintain the cleanliness of our rooms comfortably, without having to spend extra money.
Another significant downside is the smoking area located right at the main entrance. Non-smokers (and even some smokers) have to walk through clouds of smoke and loads of uncleaned piles of cigarette butts to enter the building. It’s not only unpleasant but also feels like a disregard for residents’ comfort.
However, the most frustrating part has been the lack of response to complaints about noise and the noise, even vacuuming at 1am, mostly happening at night itself. We’ve been dealing with extremely noisy neighbors, and despite reaching out multiple times over a month, management hasn’t resolved the issue and haven’t suggested anything too. There are silent moments in shed itself, especially in fun zones, but it’s like this until evening. Overall, despite small things that are good, it’s been an overpriced and poorly managed experience that I wouldn’t recommend.
Thank you for the wonderful time spent in SHED co-living Vilnius! Excellent location - near shopping center, forest, public transport stop. To the center by car - 15 minutes. The building has a well-equipped gym, terraces where you can enjoy the sunset, common areas for socializing or studying (study room, common kitchen, game room, etc.) I liked that on the floor there is a small technical room where you can borrow a vacuum cleaner, mops and other things to clean the room. There is also a laundry room in the building ( all on site!) The room itself is very clean, cozy and bright with well equipped kitchenette and private bathroom!!! Special thanks to the staff - professional, welcoming and kindhearted. Helped with advice, handled different situations professionally. Ideal place to live, study or work!
Very irresponsible support at times (one specific person), which got me to pay ~300€ for the time before I even arrived there. I was asking politely, explicitly, and clearly, and it was hard to get any answers, and I was the one to pay for the misunderstanding.
The place isn't as cheap as one might think at first glance, hidden reoccurring and one-time charges (laundry, cleaning fee, residence registration, pillow and blanket, and maybe transportation costs since it's very remote) make it commonly priced.
The location is very uninspiring, AFAIK there are no places to eat in the vicinity of 2km (google confirms), not many places to have a walk (the forest is nice) and a lot of hospitals.
Rooms are pretty nice but the walls are really thin and it happens that you can hear your neighbors at night, but mostly the noise comes from corridor where some of the brightest folks think it would be a good idea to slam their door at midnight or stomp/shout. I'm not too sensitive, but it's really loud. The gym is pretty simple, with only one barbell and no dip belt, manageable.
Honest review after living there for 1.3year (y2023). Place is truly great for students & young specialists where one could find both socialisation or solitude depending on needs. My Room was small (19m2) but modern with all necessary equipment (except oven and washing machine, which are common). Gym is quite well equipped as well , with stylish lighting. I enjoyed leisure areas - billiards, board games, veranda. Great grocery shop in 3 mins proximity. But about disadvantages: 1. My window was pointed to the some technical storage (g. Moletu view) so almost constant irritating noise was from the storage + a lot of dust from the road. 2. You need to pay if you wish to host someone for more than 2 days which I find questionable as the price is high for this m2 and it is not a dormitory in essence. 3. SHED has hosted 3-4 private events during which you were not allowed to visit common areas- strange, taking into account that tenants pay for these areas as part of the rent fee. 4. In general, it is quite cold in the rooms and very hot in the summer. In winter, temperature in my room didn’t go over 20 degrees and during the summer it was impossible to open fully window due to curtains. 5. Location of SHED is cool in terms of the district and public transport (last stop for major bus lines is there so you can always sit comfortably in the bus) but still it is very far away from the city centre - it took me 1 hour 1 side to commute to my work. 6. Not a minus but be aware that 70€ fee will be mandatory taken for cleaning after your departure. Summarising all the above I would advise SHED for short stay if you are Erasmus student but for long stay there are better options in the city.
Beautiful Co-living space in a peaceful part of Vilnius. In short, I felt like home from the day I moved in. I lived there for a year and had nothing but good experience. The furniture provided in the apartment was all I needed.
The administration team helps with every issue. There are small events to socialize and open community spaces. Especially in summer you can enjoy the outside balcony. Would highly recommend the space for every student that is looking for an apartment. Big plus also is that the administration team speaks English.
Thank you SHED Co-Living1
I am really happy that I found this place. Thank you SHED Vilnius Co-Living.
I am a student who travelled to Vilnius to do a study abroad program and chose SHED Co-Living for my -10 month stay. After all 10 this time, I must say it was more than a wonderful experience. The rooms are very nice, a free gym is a big plus for this place, as are modern and comfortable study and leisure spaces, all of which I think make this place an excellent choice to stay.
Above all these, I want to thank and congratulate all the people who work here; they were extremely kind and had an excellent attitude 24/7. They helped me every time I needed it and managed the place really well. On top of that, I want to personally thank the House manager, a great person who was at all times very professional and attentive. I saw through my 10-month stay that he always had the best attitude towards all guests, helping and receiving everyone in the best way possible.
Overall, I want to thank SHED Co-Living for being my place to stay all this time and for being part of this great experience of studying abroad. I hope one day I come back and stay here again.
