We want to improve the travel experience for international nomads, adventurers, long-stay travellers and domestic remote workers with a network of vibrant communities starting in East Africa and beyond. We’ll do this while also giving back and integrating with local communities to help improve digital skills and empower the next generation.
I really enjoyed my stay here at Skippers! The place is very down to earth and perfect for relaxing. It has everything you need, a pool, washing machine, AC, bikes and scooter available for guests, gym and the best pizzas i have had in kenya! All the staff is super helpful and friendly. The location is very convenient, close to the airport and a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants! Will definately stay here again when coming to Diani
I stayed at Skippers for two weeks in January 2026 and overall had a very good experience.
One thing I really appreciated was being added to the WhatsApp group immediately upon arrival. It made it very easy to connect with other guests, organise activities and feel integrated from the start. The reception was welcoming, and I was allowed to use the co-working space before the official check-in time, which was very convenient after travelling. The Wi-Fi in the co-working area worked very well and allowed me to work comfortably.
My room was generally pleasant: the bed was comfortable and there was always hot water in the shower. However, the Wi-Fi signal did not reach my room, which was sometimes inconvenient. The curtains could also occasionally fall if pulled too strongly, as they sometimes got stuck. The TV was not working when I arrived but was repaired a few days before my departure. Although there is a key box with a code for the main entrance door of the room, I noticed that the patio door could be opened easily from outside without any access control. Even though Skippers was safe (security guy and secured main door), this could be improved for peace of mind.
The location is good, close to the airport and about a 20-minute walk from the main beach and the main road. I also have to mention that they serve the best pizza in town 😊 It was very practical to have free access to the washing machine and detergent, which made longer stays much easier.
At first glance, the property may appear a bit unattended and not perfectly maintained, and I did not use the swimming pool as it was rather small and not very clean at the time.
Despite these minor downsides, I truly enjoyed my stay and the social atmosphere. I would definitely come back in the future.
The experience was amazing, it's very close to the airport and the palace it's next to a street full of life and local people. The rooms have are condicioner and they prepare breakfast for you every day included in the price. Really nice experience also to be in contact with nature. Thanks so much!!!
This place is incredible for digital nomads! I stayed with my partner for 1 week, here are some of the perks:
- The staff that work here are incredible and so friendly, they really make you feel welcome
- The owner, Duncan, helps the local school
- It’s social - we made great friends during our stay! You also get added to a group chat where people often organised things (like yoga and nights out)
- Strong wifi - never had a problem on calls
- Free use of bikes was amazing for getting around (and the very short cycle to the beach)
- Air conditioning in rooms, gym and co-working space (from what I’ve heard no where else in the area has this!)
- Free use of the coffee machine (unlimited barista coffee!!)
- A free cooked breakfast every day, and every day different (and super tasty!)
- Well-equipped gym
- The showers have very good, strong water pressure (I could finally rinse my shampoo out!!!)
- The onsite pizza restaurant is nice, and we also tried the small local restaurant outside (turn right just outside the gate) which did great beans with rice and spinach!
- The rooms are so cute!!
All of this makes for great productivity if you’re looking to get work done here ! We couldn’t believe the value we got for what we paid, recommend 100%
Stayed at Skippers for 6 weeks and had a great time! Many thanks to the staff who are allways ready to help out, either with practical things on site, questions about the area, or planning activities. The rooms are clean & comfortable, its close to the beach and easy to get around Diani from the location. Its also a great place if you need to get some work done with good internet & comfortable work places with extra screens free to use. I would definetely stay at Skippers again in the future. ❤️
Perfect for digital nomads, backpackers, and long-term stays. We stayed a little over a week and had the BEST time! Great location right in the centre of diani. Super comfy rooms with AC, hot showers, and comfy beds. Facilities are fantastic with a full gym, office, and speedy wifi. And the food is insane! There’s two restaurants on site, one serving the best pizza in Kenya and the other serving poke, both v well priced. On top of all that, the coffee machine in the communal kitchen is incredible👌👌👌

Be careful when booking here. they can cancel your spot without notice and leave you without support.
