A nice modern hotel with great and friendly service. Rooms are compact but good for the price. The breakfast is good value. One negative is they charge you to store your luggage, even for 90mins in our situation. Seems really poor considering how good the rest of the service is.
After our original lodging in Madrid fell through, we were fortunate to find Sleep’n Atocha for the three nights we were visiting. The staff was incredibly friendly! We worked closest with Vanessa, who coordinated for us a taxi to the airport and arranged for the hotel to provide breakfast to-go. The day we checked out was my husband’s birthday, and we were shocked to find a personalized birthday note and balloons on our door in the morning! The location is superb, right across from a major train station and steps from a metro stop. We loved the eco-friendly vibes of the place, almost as much as the cookies in our room upon check-in and the coffee and soda bar available for guests!
Would have loved to have stayed here for more than one night as I personally enjoyed the room more than hit or miss Airbnb. Towels are changed every three days here and my room was cozy. I slept very well and everything felt clean. There is free water and coffee in the lobby and a nice area in the lobby to relax by a fireplace.
Rooms are generally smaller but acceptable given the price. It is next to the metro station, making it convenient to travel around. Front desks speak good English and always try to help. One thing to take note of is that unlike other hotels, they charge 1euro for luggage storage. Also, you need to reserve your breakfast slot and you only have 30 minutes. It was fine for me but if you need long time to eat, then you may have to reconsider.
Excellent location. The staff is very helpful, and kind. For a 2 star hotel this has everything you could ask for and more. They even have a secure locker area for your luggage if you arrive before check-in time.
