The room is reasonably comfortable, but a bit small, but the worse thing is bathroom. As the doot is translucent, the bathroom light goes direct into the person laying down in the bed. The sink is also outside of the bathroom. There is no space to put support your things in the bathroom, neither in the shower box. The breakfast is very, very good - everything is really well done. The staff is very supportive and kind. It's also very well located, with a metro station near by.
We enjoyed our stay at Sleep’N Atocha a budget accomadation, it is very well situated near all the major museums and other sites of interest in Madrid. Very easy to get there from the Airport either by bus or train to the Atocha Station, and less than a 10 minute walk. The rooms are very small but adequate, could also use additional lighting in the bathroom. The staff was also very helpful, reaching out before arrival and assisting with online check-in. The breakfast was very good with eggs, bacon, fresh orange juice, and a variety of pastries with the breakfast staff very friendly. A plus for online check-in included 24/7 all you can drink sodas and coffee.
Staff is amazing, so friendly and thoughtful. Lots of nice touches like free coffee and hand-written welcome back notes. Great breakfast and views from the rooftop restaurant. The hotel is walking distance to the Prado and a few meters from a metro station.
Should be rated a 5 star hotel. The staff are wonderful. Everyone bends over backward to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. The property is immaculate. Our room was perfect for 48 hours in Madrid. Comfortable bed, excellent rainfall shower head. The free breakfast is over the top with an excellent assortment of pastries, meats, cheeses, eggs and more. This was one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed in during my four week cross country travels in Spain.
This hotel exceeded my expectations!! The location was amazing and very centrally located for visiting museums, while the breakfast was absolutely delicious (fresh pastries and fruit, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, waffles, etc) with a nice view of the city. The rooms are clean too.
A hotel in a great location, and good value for money. We had a small problem with our room but the staff were excellent and resolved it immediately. The breakfast was delicious, and we were really grateful for the coffee corner and soft drinks. I would strongly recommend a stay here to anyone looking for a good value, comfortable room for a short break in Madrid.
A true single budget room is rare, but SLEEP’N Atocha delivers. I was a bit worried that an “interior room” would be a windowless cell, but there are windows into a light well, providing that necessary psychological light. The bonus of an interior room was that in the heatwave, the room wasn’t heated by the sun. I found the room just big enough for me and my suitcase. It’s a good room for those who don’t spend much time at their accommodation. I happily spent four nights here, leaving to explore the city after a delicious breakfast and returning after nightfall. The “free” unlimited soft drinks and tea for checking in online were a nightly bonus when I got back to the hotel. For those unfamiliar with the Spanish checking-in process, it can be done before you arrive at the hotel. It’s basically data entry - your passport no, your address etc. The breakfasts on the rooftop (enclosed and air-conditioned, thank goodness) were delicious. I particularly liked the fresh melon and changing home made cakes. The location was great - just next to Atocha station and the Reina Sofia and a stone’s throw from the Prado. It’s an easy walk to various markets and bars and museums. It was also convenient for a day trip to Toledo, which is a 34 minute train ride from Atocha. My one complaint was the use of disposable cups. I was attracted by the hotel’s B-corp status and environmental statements but the disposable cups used for the soft drinks and teas were at odds with this messaging.
