Certifications
We issue stars to coliving spaces in a similar way as hotels — non subjectively — for actual facilities at the property, not for how 'nice' it is nor reviews. Operators are required to self-certify that their facilities are as described, plus meet both expectations and needs. This is free and non-exclusive. Explore all spaces with stars
There are two fundamental facilities evaluated:
- 🎪 community the best where a facilitator holds a weekly family meal, encouraging and oragansing activities, else at least occasional events such as an outing togther and games nights
- ⌨️ workspace the best having multiple workspaces, quiet for focus and casual coworking, else an ergonomic bedroom desk
Coliving Community marque
Any space may choose to use this marque if they meet just the following basic minimums:
- identified whom their community welcomes
- at least a weekly community gathering at the space
- shared lounge and kitchen
- laundry
- not all communities are oriented around remote-work therefore workspace is not required, but is considered for stars

- either:
- good workspace (ergonomic coworking) and good community (facilitator)
- else if only one is okay (workroom or regular events) then 2 bonus facilities
- fast internet (fibre or Starlink)
- laundry
★★ 2-star
- good workspace (coworking) and good community (facilitator) without exception
- no nightly guests
- pro network
- callspace
- outdoor space
- either
- 2 bonus facilities and 1 premium
- else 4 bonus facilities
★★★ 3-star
- multiple workspaces or multiple lounges

- at least 4 bonus facilities
- at least 2 premium facilities

- transit at door or bikes
- callspace (either a callroom or desks in bedrooms)

- pro internet (not an ISP-provided router/hotspots but professional suitable for uniterrupted roaming e.g. Unifi)
- room cleaning
- monitors (min 4K)
- movies/presentations (a large screen or projector with good sound, plus comfy seating)
premium facilities
- multiple dedicated workspaces
- multiple lounges
- big garden
- pool/spa/sauna
- public coworking (hub) in the same building
- upscale / high quality fittings and furnishings
- meals or meal-rota
- shared vehicle or driver
Other criteria apply in some cases:
- hybrid spaces do not currently qualify
- (stars) in the countryside without bikes or transit, shopping trips must be organised
- (stars) small spaces may allow nightly stays
- (stars) outdoor space is waived with multiple lounges and strolls
- (marque) when predominantly studios or private units have cooking facilities, a community kitchen is not required
