I originally planned to stay at 908 Co-Living for just a short time while I looked for an apartment in San Francisco. I ended up enjoying it so much that I stayed for nine months, which probably says more than anything else I could write.
The location in North Beach is fantastic. It's a safe neighborhood, and you're within walking distance of plenty of cafés, restaurants, and places to explore. The hills are definitely steep but that's just San Francisco! Fortunately, the house is only a couple of buildings up from Mason st.
I had a private room, and it was clean and well maintained. Weekly housekeeping was included, which was a nice bonus, and the shared spaces were always kept in good shape. I especially liked the coworking area, the living room, and the backyard, which made it easy to work, relax, or just unwind.
A special shout-out to Josh, who was an excellent host throughout my stay. He was always responsive, helpful, and genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a good experience.
One of the best parts of staying at 908 was the community. Since I had just moved to San Francisco, it was a great way to meet people, and I ended up making a few good friends there. That made settling into the city a lot easier.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend 908 Co-Living to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-managed place to stay - whether you're new to the city or just want a great place to live in North Beach.
908 is one of those rare places in sf that genuinely surprises u. i shared a room for months and i met unforgettable frens i feel like i've known for a lifetime. these aren't just housemates passing in the hallway; they become your family. case in point: a spontaneous road trip to joshua tree i'll never forget. if u get the chance to live here, don't think twice.
If you are lucky enough to find a spot here make sure you take it! The place is beyond amazing and the amenities are incredible. The person who runs the place is Josh and he is an absolute sweetheart. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and the there is a sauna that you can use anytime to decompress. In addition the location provides an amazing view of the bay bridge. Can’t recommend this place enough.
I stayed at 908 for a month and wished I stayed longer. The property itself is so charming and the view is amazing especially from room 11 (a shared room and the best room imo). Josh (our landlord/friend) was very responsive, welcoming, and made the whole experience so easy. Items were always restocked, the house was always clean, and any issues were fixed immediately. Also there is a whole SAUNA in the house, what a luxury.
The people are the best part! 908 has a warm, communal vibe and it was really easy to meet everyone and feel at home right away. I moved to SF for a new job and was hoping to meet new people. Living at 908 was the best decision and I can’t recommend it enough!!
I’ve moved back into 908 four times now, so that probably tells you everything. I genuinely love this place. It’s one of the few spots in the city where anyone can show up and instantly feel welcome.
The first time I moved in, I was worried about sharing a room and bathroom with someone I’d never met. Turns out, it was great. The rooms are super clean, and the weekly cleaning makes a massive difference. Everyone is respectful and drama-free because you actually go through an application before staying at 908, so you don’t end up with random weirdos. People naturally become friends here, some of my closest friends in the city came from living at 908.
This isn’t your typical co-living or hacker house. It has a sauna. A huge yard. A cozy living room. It actually feels like a home.
And the amount of stuff that’s supplied is unreal, seasoning, snacks, more herbal tea than you could ever drink. You don’t need to think about anything. If you play piano, there’s even one of those.
Josh, the landlord, also lives in the house. He’s genuinely on top of everything and fixes issues immediately.
If you’re new to the city or just need a place to stay, I’d definitely consider 908. It’s one of the best decisions I keep making.

Josh is an amazing guy and made sure to make living as comfortable as possible. He even went to the extent to host a surprise birthday party, which was the best experience I had, wholesome and lovely. I even went to my first Chainsmokers concert with the people of 908!
I enjoyed spending time with the people at home and learning new things & perspectives. It’s a great place to start with if you’re new to the city and want to know people + have fun on weekends. Josh organised events here and there at home & also took us to different places around sf especially Mill Valley! I miss going on those car rides. I got introduced to mapo tofu here and it soon became my favourite dish!
Anyone in SF should definitely live in 908 and enjoy the stay and lovely people :)
This is located uphill so make sure to be prepared for walking on the hill! The area & view are worth it though, I loved running around here. The place is well lit and open with lots of lounges and different areas to sit and relax beside the room. Cleaning is done bi-weekly as well which was great! Overall hygienic and well-balanced.
Will definitely come back to 908 in the future!
Before 908, I didnt particularly like SF but the hospitality and the kindness of people here changed that for me. The people are warm, there are constant activities hosted and Josh makes sure the place is spotless. Would highly recommend this to anyone, esp if you’re moving in to SF!
When I went to SF, I was debating between renting an apartment for myself or going to 908 Coliving. I couldn’t be more grateful that I chose the latter. There’s an amazing community, and from the moment I set foot in the city, I already had a group of friends. During my time there, we shared so many experiences, hiking to Big Sur, bonfires on the beach, dinners, Mario Kart races… My experience would have been radically worse if I hadn’t chosen 908 as my home.
The house is kept in perfect condition. The landlord, Josh, is part of the community, he lives there with the rest of us, makes sure everything is in top shape, and handles any issue at lightning speed. The coliving space also has professional cleaners who keep both the house and your room spotless.
If you’re reading this review, and like me a few months ago, are deciding whether to find your own place or start your journey in the city at 908 Coliving, don’t hesitate. Living here is the best decision you can make!
