If you're looking for a magical space where you can stay focused, make friends, and be a part of an authentic, local community, Beet is the SPOT. I spent 4 weeks in Palermo as a digital nomad both working out the coworking space and spending 90% of my free time with Beet community members. Without Beet, my experience in Sicily wouldn't have be the same. Grateful to Marco for organizing adventures, bringing together people from all over the world or locally, and making sure every person that comes through Beet leaves feeling like family. The location is nothing short of a dream. Situated within a 2-minute stroll from a sizable supermarket, BeetCommunity caters to every need, making daily life effortlessly convenient. Multiple bus stops, just 2-5 minutes away, open up the city, allowing exploration at your fingertips. The city center, a mere 5-10 minute walk, invites you to wander through Palermo's historical streets, unveiling its secrets and stories.

It is a lovely community run by Marco and his aunt Marcella. On the morning of my arrival I was welcomed by Marcella with a lovely breakfast. Marco is a really helpful and caring person. Every week on Thursdays he would organise a community dinner and on some weekends we would go to various excursions. Everyone is extremely nice and I can say that I made some great friendships there! Will miss them all!
The coliving rooms are really nicely designed and have luxury feel. Every week there is cleaning of the rooms and finding common areas. The common kitchen is small but has got everything you need. The only downside is that the 2 of 3 rooms have a view to the internal courtyard which means they are not enough bright during the day.
The location is really safe and close enough to the centre to walk. Well connected with buses to different parts of the city.
Not a shared accommodation...
...but a House and a Community! I chose this Coliving, because that's what I found available and accessible at the time of my researchs... I'm happy not to have found anything else, I wouldn't have wanted to miss these 6 weeks here !
From the first messages with Marco (the fantastic owner, but above all the creator of this experience!) before my arrival, he included me in the chat group to get to know them. As soon as I arrived, Marcella welcomed me warmly and showed me around. I then had the chance to have 2 amazing roommates who introduced me to the surrounding area and local specialties. As you can see... family vibes !
My room was very nice and spacious with a private bathroom. We have a common terrace and two coworking spaces as well as a small kitchen. Everything you need and a great location in Palermo, walking distance to the center via the main street.
Then the events started, every Thursday evening, it was a nice moment around a big meal at home with the community (colivers + coworkers). Weekends with excursions to discover places not always accessible or known to us, expatriates. I even had the chance to celebrate my birthday, a memorable celebration thanks to Marco and the community.
I loved my time there, I will miss them all very much, and I can't wait to go back.
For you who are still wondering if you should reserve your room, don't hesitate any longer, places are often victims of their success. If you don't want to miss out on new friendships, discoveries and a comfortable place to work, go for it!
I can highly recommend BeetCommunity Coliving and Coworking in Palermo for its charming traditional aesthetic. The spacious rooms have high ceilings and one personal workplace, each room boasts its own bath, ensuring both comfort and privacy. The communal areas provide a unique and inspiring atmosphere for both living and working. With a central location allowing for walks to the city and excellent public transport connections to the airport and train station, it's a heaven for those appreciating a blend of tradition, creativity, and convenience.
