I've stayed in many colivings over the past years, but Cape Coliving has truly exceeded all my expectations. The owners, Matt and Dakota, are incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel at home from the very first moment.
What I loved most is the perfect balance of privacy and community. There's always something happening and it’s easy to connect with others, yet you can just as easily enjoy your own space and independence whenever you feel like it.
The rooms are spacious and cleaned once a week, and the cleaning staff are absolutely lovely. The location in Green Point is ideal — just a short walk to the promenade in Sea Point, the DHL Stadium, fantastic restaurants (I highly recommend Giovanni's Deli), and even the nearest padel court.
I’m already planning my next stay and can’t wait to come back!
Great experience, beautiful villa, amazing co-livers. Matt and Dakota are very generous and organize very fun activities every week. Best place to stay in Capetown!
By far the best coliving experience I’ve had, especially when it comes to value, community, comfort, and work life balance.
The house and rooms are incredibly well thought out and beautifully decorated. There are comfortable desks, great coworking areas, and reliable, fast WiFi. I had zero issues working remotely and it was easy to stay productive. The house itself is charming and immediately feels like home.
The location is unbeatable. Greenpoint is safe, central, and walkable, and the house takes security seriously with all the necessary precautions in place.
What really sets Cape Coliving apart is the community. There’s a perfect balance between organized events and spontaneous, guest led plans like the weekly wednesday potluck lunches and trips to the farmers market or attending a nearby rugby match.
Dakota and Matt are fantastic community managers. You can genuinely feel how much they care about the people staying there and the experience they’re creating, and it shows in every detail. Cape Town itself is pure magic. I could honestly leave another five star review just for the city alone
I highly recommend Cape Coliving as hands down the number one place to stay in Cape Town
Cape Coliving is awesome. If you're looking for a warm, inclusive community of other digital nomads to live with in Cape Town...then look no further. I've stayed here and at neighbourgood and can easily say that Cape Coliving was so much more enjoyable. The house is great, the community manager was amazing, and the curated group of fellow nomads were wonderful. 5 stars all around!
My experience at Cape Coliving was better than I could have imagined. I looked at numerous colives before coming to Cape Town for my first trip. This out stood out to me right away with the location, having around 9 rooms so its not oversized, and the communication from Matt, the owner. I'm leaving Cape Town with lots of new friends and incredible memories thanks to the community Matt and Dakota have created. Thank you both and can't wait to come back!
If you’re looking for a coliving space in Cape Town, this is the one!! A wonderful house in an amazing location, close to the park and the promenade. I had an incredible five weeks here, largely thanks to the great place and all the people you meet. Every Monday, a group planning session is held to align activities with everyone’s wishes. And of course, Cape Town offers pretty much everything you could hope for. Enjoy if you decide to go!

My Experience at Cape Co-Living
Being someone who values connection, community, and living in a beautiful space's… Cape Co-Living truly ticks all the boxes.
I lived there from June to November 2025, and it was honestly one of the loveliest chapters of my life. The house itself is stunning, beautifully designed rooms, warm common areas, and an energy that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. But what truly makes this place special is the people.
The community aspect was the absolute highlight of my stay. Every Monday we’d sit together, a group of curious, kind, inspiring humans, and plan out a week filled with activities: visiting wineries, exploring new hiking trails, braai/BBQ, deep conversations, beach days, trying new restaurants, yoga sessions, sauna visits, spontaneous adventures and weekend trips to see the wildflowers. These are experiences I would never have done alone, and that’s the magic of this place, it elevates your experience because not only do you get to see beautiful places and have wonderful experiences but you get to do it with awesome people too.
I was also there during the entrepreneurial theme (June–August), and the house became an incredible incubator. It was during this time that I launched Lekker Hike, which has now grown into a successful business. I genuinely credit so much of that growth to the insights, support and shared wisdom that came from the Cape Co-Living community.
Matt and Dakota, the hosts, have created something truly special, a home that’s not only beautiful and comfortable, but built around real community, shared experiences, and meaningful connection.
I highly recommend Cape Co-Living, especially if it’s your first time in Cape Town. You’ll have a gorgeous home, access to invaluable local knowledge, and most importantly, an instant community to plug into. It’s more than accommodation, it’s a way to experience Cape Town in the most wholesome, connected, and memorable way.
A place you will arrive to not knowing anyone initially leaving with friendships/connections that will be meaningful and last a life time.
One of the best colivings I’ve ever stayed in! I stayed in Cape Coliving for 6 weeks and it really felt like a home away from home. The house is beautiful and has a lot of character and charm, great communal spaces and outdoor spaces, and in an ideal location. My room (Stadium) was spacious and comfortable and had a balcony with views of the ocean and the stadium. More than that, the community that they facilitate was amazing, with lots of activities and opportunities for connection. This isn’t just a place to stay, this is about being part of a connected group of travelers. Even though I was halfway across the world, I felt like I had my “people,” which made the experience really fulfilling.

I spent a full month working and living at Cape Coliving in Cape Town. Especially among digital nomads, Cape Town has become quite a popular destination over the last few years. It’s easy to see why. When I stay somewhere for a good amount of time, I usually choose to stay in coliving spaces. As a digital nomad, they’re the perfect space providing good internet, dedicated workspaces, and most importantly, a community of like-minded people you can share daily life, work struggles, and adventure with.
