I loved everything about the communal coliving. I stayed there for over a week and I only wish I could stay longer, I'm definitely coming back in my next visit to Siargao. The area is the best, quiet but with enough things around to enjoy yourself, some restaurants, a very nice cafe to have breakfast and work, and the beautiful beach of Ocean 9 just steps away, ideal for surfing or just to relax. The house is extremely cozy, the room had everything I needed, and the best part, the communal family. I have been to hundreds of homestays and Airbnbs, and I have never felt more welcomed than here. Tina, Mike and Bom are always offering to help, give advice, cook together and just enjoying together during the family gatherings. They also have so much experience and knowledge to share. 10000/10 stay
Perfect for digital nomads who want to be a bit away from the craziness& distractions of city center: This place is really prepared to live here. I mean: the best kitchen I've been in long time, nice shared space to work or just relax... Hosts and people living there were super nice too sharing delicious food... It feels like being in family, but with some regular events to make it more fun. It's not in the center of General Luna which means most bars and restaurants are 10-15 minutes motorbike.
Work-life-balance in perfection – what a wonderful stay! I lived in the shared units for a few weeks, both in the dorms and in the private accommodation next to the house. Apart from the super clean rooms and also the house, the excellent kitchen equipment (I've never seen anything like that; I enjoyed cooking there), the washing machine (yes, people) I felt like I was finally at home. Joint group activities, but still enough private time for myself. The internet in the house works well for me as a "Digital Nomad"; yes, I was very productive. Sta. Fe was easy to reach from GL by motorbike, sometimes I also took the TukTuk. I liked Sta. Fe better than GL as it is quieter, has nicer beaches but still really good restaurants, little stores and the veggie-fruit-car drives around; of course my opinion. What really upsets me is that I had to leave, then unfortunately I couldn't surf. Yes, great surf spots are within walking distance; a dream! The people who run the place are super nice, have a lot of humor, are calm and they are great chefs (fresh chicken meals are granted). All in all: a place to stay; a home to feel good and a family to love!! Who knows, sooner or later I will come back, hopefully for surfing too; I can't wait and "salamat" guys, you are amazing!!! Highly recommended for everyone!!!
Communal Co-Living in Siargao is a hidden gem! It’s located away from the busy, crowded General Luna, making it perfect for introverts like me. The peaceful vibe here is great for working and relaxing. But if you stay long enough, the friendly community will definitely bring out your extroverted side. I loved my time here and will definitely be back! Stayed here for a month! 🫶🏼
Coliving at Communal is an experience you should not miss especially if you want to meet like-minded people (digital nomads, remote workers, business owners). The energy is just different here. There are still some small areas for improvement since Communal is still new but I would definitely stay here again (hopefully, I already know how to drive a motorbike 🛵)
