Perfect for a short stay during the vacation. Nice personal and lots of fun activities to do inside the hotel like going to the sauna, playing arcade or watching a movie. The car can be parked inside a small locked parkhouse. Only the food served in the automats there varies from the quality and can be good or almost disgusting.
Best place to stay in Grenoble! :) short or long stay, the staff at Cowool don't disappoint.
From the get go they were attentive, accommodating and welcoming which helped tremendously with my stressful travels. Nothing was ever too big to ask and the additional get togethers organised by staff really makes you feel part of a family when being on your travels :)

Slightly mixed review for this hotel.
The hotel itself is really great with a relaxed atmosphere that has several rooms for working or relaxing.
Reception level, quite disappointed, we waited 20 minutes in the hall because there is no reception staff in the evening.
After a while, a security person came and gave us our keys, explaining that he was busy with other guests.
The security staff were really friendly and did their best to compensate for the lack of hotel staff even though that was not their job at all.
Room-wise, the atmosphere is cool but the cleaning really leaves something to be desired.
The bathroom was dirty, the towels too (not to mention we had 1 towel for 3 people).
Overall, the setting is cool, close to a large shopping center but the hotel still has a problem with cleanliness and staff.
Very nice place to stay. The crew is fantastic!Shopping center across the street, tram station 2 minutes to walk, expo center 5 minutes to walk, ice ring to the hotel. Everything is nearby. Highly recommended place to stay.
Staying here has been a great experience! My room had a magnificent view of the mountains and it is breathtaking. The staff are also the friendliest people I have met. They are always ready to help and they speak both French and English.
The events they have planned as well are not to be missed. Take the opportunity to meet new people also staying there and you will not regret it.
Giving positive 4stars for communal area, free drinking water and staff are smiling.
General info:
It has garden with herbs(No swimming pool)
Cooking activity on one night during my stay - perfect idea.
Room has a fridge and facilities to cook.
No cleaning it's more a dorm style than hotel.
Receptionist will forward you to english speaking staff.
Not so positive:
Aircon in the room NOT SO GREAT LIKE THE REST OF GRENOBLE. A plastic swith to regulate aircon is broken. Complained first few hours of arrival. Lady said it will be fixed. Nothing was offered or done, checked out after a week. Still will be returning.
Carpet in the room was not super clean.
Bar is there but it is closed. Gym is closed due to renovation..
DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE.
I honestly had the worst experience of my life while staying at this awful place. I'll enumerate each issue that I faced during my stay:
1.Upon arrival, they tried to charge me twice the agreed amount for my dog's stay. They also attempted to charge me for parking, despite not having a car. This clearly demonstrates their disorganization.
2.The location is in a terrible and potentially dangerous neighborhood. If you are a woman traveling alone, I strongly advise against staying here. It feels very unsafe at night.
3.They claim to have air conditioning, but this is untrue. It doesn't work, causing suffocating conditions at night. After two weeks, they provided a fan that required assembly, but no tools were provided. I was told someone would come and assemble it, but no one ever showed up.
4.The kitchen is ridiculously small and uncomfortable to use.
5.They do not provide ANYTHING for cleaning the apartment, not even some dish soap and a sponge. Never before have I stayed in a temporary apartment that didn't offer basic cleaning supplies.
6.When I asked if I could receive packages, they said yes. However, when I went to collect my package from reception, I found out someone had opened it and gone through my belongings. This is UNACCEPTABLE.
7.Every time I cooked, a "security man" would come over, claiming the fire alarm had been set off. They insisted on entering my apartment even when I expressed my discomfort. This led to incidents with my dog, who would naturally try to protect me when someone entered against my will. This happened more than once, and one of the security guards even told me to leave the building. Is this how they treat guests?
8.Laundry services are exorbitantly priced. They seem exceedingly proud of their app, and charge a ridiculous amount for each wash.
9.The apartment's lighting is atrocious; at night, visibility is almost non-existent. It's as if they forgot to provide adequate lamps.
10.Most of the staff doesn't speak English. I speak a bit of French and attempted to communicate with them in French, but they didn't seem to want to make an effort to understand.
11. If you are looking to meet new people this is not the right place, there is no sense of community. This is not the right place for digital nomads. I spent one month without having a nice conversation with anyone.
Please don't believe their impressive marketing. I implore you, do not stay in this place.
