I spent two months in Coworx to write my Master's Thesis and it was the perfect place for it. Fast & reliable wifi, comfy chairs and good Aircon in the coworking space. Very well equipped rooms with TV, comfortable bed, wardrobe, chair & desk, fridge and a big balcony to lounge on - overall great value for money. Bonus are Min, Tin and Bob, the cutest dogs and Ben, the nicest host.
It's located in walking distance to the beach and an overall quiet neighborhood with some local shops and restaurants around.
So sad to leave this place, I will definitely come back!
Best place to work remotely on Koh Lanta! Fast WiFi, comfortable workspace, and a very quiet setting. The apartments are surprisingly spacious and well-equipped (kitchen is well equipped as well). It’s a short walk to the beach and lots of restaurants and nice places to go right around the corner. Definitely coming back next season.
This place is exactly what I was looking for. It offers both rooms to stay and an office to work in, with comfortable chairs. I stayed almost 3 months and had a great time. Ben, the owner, is a very interesting guy with lots of captivating stories. During my stay we had several grill parties with him and other long staying guests. There are three cute dogs: Bob, Min & Tin, that will be happy to chill with you on your terrace. Lastly, the price is great, especially if you book monthly. Ben, I wish you all the best and am definitely coming again 😎🍻😎
I honestly cannot understand how this place has such good reviews. Either they're fabricated, or people were lucky enough to avoid the owner's rage. He clearly has severe anger management issues.
I paid for 28 nights of accommodation here. It wasn’t cheap, but I chose it because of the advertised communal working space. Given the price (almost three times the cost of a regular room in the area), I assumed I’d at least get a private kitchen. Instead, all facilities were shared, which was a huge disappointment.
On arrival, the owner tried to charge me extra just to use the working space—despite the fact that I had already paid a premium price to stay there because of it. When I refused, he didn’t offer a refund or solution, so I decided I’d just work from my room instead.
Unfortunately, the room was unbearably hot (the aircon wasn’t coping), the WiFi was weak, and the toilet leaked intermittently. When I brought up these issues, the owner refused to help or change my room.
Since I needed a comfortable space to work, I reached out to Booking.com to see if they could help. They simply sent an inquiry to the owner to see if he’d consider shortening my stay.
That’s when things took a terrifying turn.
At midnight, the owner banged on my door, screaming that I was a scammer and a thief. He accused me of trying to "steal" from him—even though I had already paid in full for the 28 nights. He refused to have a rational conversation and instead demanded 5,000 baht and my passport as “compensation” to calm down.
I wasn’t about to hand over my documents to an aggressive and irrational man, so I locked myself in my room while he raged outside. I had to call the police just to ensure I’d be safe for the night.
By 6 AM, he cut my water and electricity and forced me to leave.
At this point, I was genuinely scared for my safety. I couldn’t risk staying in a place where the owner was this unstable and aggressive. I had no choice but to book another accommodation elsewhere on the island, paying out of pocket for a second time—despite the fact that I had already paid for the full 28 nights.
This place isn’t that nice or comfortable, it’s ridiculously overpriced, and worst of all, the owner is dangerously unstable. Save yourself the stress and stay somewhere else.
The coworking is bright and very well equipped with nice chairs and desks. The offer is with high speed internet what is sadly not available. The internet is not very stable and struggles a lot while video calls. And the dogs of the owner are barking a lot what is very disturbing while video calls. The coworking could be cleaned more frequent.
We stayed for almost 3 weeks in one of the rooms. The room was ok. The bed is comfy and the coffee every morning on the sunny terrace is very nice. We got a room with a broken toilet flush. The flush ran 24/7 every few minutes. It was super annoying. We asked the owner if we can change the room and he confirmed, the issue with the toilet flush exists in every room. We were told by other guests that only our room had the problem with the broken toilet flush. The 3 dogs are very cute and friendly. They just use the whole place as their toilet. It smells often very very bad. So we decided to leave earlier and moved to another place.
The owner is nice and tries his best. But the service level should be much more balanced.
Great place for remote workers. The desks and chairs are the best quality you can find. The owner is friendly and helpful. And you have one of Lanta’s best restaurants next door.
Really nothing to complain about. The rooms are clean and like in the photos, the kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfortable (especially for asian standards) and the host is just great.
Ben knows the area and the people of Koh Lanta and is willing to help you with every question and request you have.
Staying at Coworx is quite comparable to sharing an apartment with others. If you want you have a lot of great people to hang around and don't feel lonely, but if you want to be for yourself you have your own room and nobody disturbs you.
And Ben's dogs are funny and cute as hell. 🥹
