I can highly recommend Porto Santo Destination Hostels. I felt like home during my stay and I met wonderful people there. The double room with sea view and privat balcony was equipped with everything that you need to feel comfortable. The team of the hostel is outstanding. Nuno, the host is super friendly and helpful and supports you with everything you should need. The environment of that part of the beach is very peaceful and quiet. Exactly what I wanted. You can have a walk at that wonderful beach to get to the city center or just rent a bike. A rich breakfast which was very good was provided for 10€. If I will come back to Porto Santo I will definitely stay with you again. Thanks for all your effort and all the best for you and your hostel.
This is a unique place to visit in Porto Santo. Never had seen a hostel so luxury! They are doing some events on Fridays and it's open for all the community. Very good opportunity to help us integrate on the community and island. I met so many and different people! Just amazing
I was here in December so can’t imagine how it is during the busier months, but my experience was 100% positive. Sofia is the star of the show. She is so hospitable, helpful, and kind. She communicated with me before I arrived and was very thorough during my stay. I felt like I had a friend in Porto Santo! I got the room with the private balcony and it was perfect. Very spacious bathroom for whatever reason. Towels and coffee/tea were provided. Lots of wardrobe space. Big working desk. Comfy bed. 1000% happy with it. Common space was also welcoming. Maybe the furniture could use some younger vibe. The whole hostel is extremely clean. The cleaning staff were also super kind and helpful. Always had a smile on them even though they don’t speak English and I don’t speak Portuguese, but they were eager to help me when I needed. It was fun to use lots of body language! I was going to do a tour but it was understandably canceled, so can’t comment on that. But I rented an e-bike from the hostel and it was a good choice for going to the viewpoints. You don’t need a car. Taxi costs €15 from the port. Buses take longer, is much cheaper (€3) but you’ll still have to walk a bit. Do with that info what you will. Ask Sofia to help reserve a taxi ride. I was so seasick from the cruise so taking the taxi was a no brainer. NOTE: the only cons I would say is that the hostel is “far” from the supermarkets, restaurants, etc. so you’ll need to prep in advance.
Had a lovely stay. Big shoutout to Sofia and Nuno! It felt like home. Would recommend.
Stayed here for quite a while. It's perfect to calm down and chill and even to work. Not much happening around here as it's the end of the island. Don't book this place if you want to party. All staff is very friendly (Solange, Orlanda, Nuno & Sophia). Kitchen is well equipped and the property offers many places to hang out. Will get back here one day 🙂
