This location actually comprises another set of villas (Aether) 10mins walk up on the other side of the village. These ones are closer to the beach and bus, each on different levels, separated by a low fence, with 4 bedrooms (shared bathrooms), they've a single kitchen-dining-living room opening onto a terrace and their own pool. Villa Amethyst was equipped with everything you need, and the air conditioning reliably cooled the house on hot days. The pool and outdoor area are truly beautiful and inviting, including a view of the sea. The landlord, Alexis, and his wife are very warm and hospitable. Upon our arrival, some typical local snacks and chilled drinks were waiting for us. They responded promptly to any questions or concerns and were always very accommodating. We also found the housekeeping every four days exceptional for a vacation rental. The house was cleaned and fresh towels were provided. We really enjoyed our time and would come back anytime. Stayed for a week in late April and had a wonderful time. The villa was stunning and very comfortable and the owner gave us a very warm welcome. The village is an easy walk up the hill and there are several options for dinner. There's also a very child friendly taverna down the hill on the beach. Easy bus ride into Rethymno. A great place from which to explore Crete.
Our stay at the villa was truly exceptional! From the moment we arrived, Alex and Maria welcomed us with unparalleled warmth and hospitality, treating us like cherished members of their own family. Despite our late arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find a beautifully arranged fruit and snack display awaiting us, provided graciously at no additional cost. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for an unforgettable experience.
The villa itself exceeded all expectations, boasting immaculate cleanliness, spacious accommodations, and beds so comfortable they rival those of luxury resorts. But perhaps the most remarkable feature was the breathtaking view, which greeted us with awe-inspiring sunrises and sunsets each day. The private pool added an extra touch of indulgence, impeccably maintained by the diligent groundsmen who ensured its cleanliness without fail.
While every aspect of our stay was truly exceptional, it's worth noting the incredible value for the cost. Despite the luxurious amenities and personalized service, the price of our stay was remarkably reasonable, making it an absolute steal for the level of comfort and luxury provided.
We cannot express enough gratitude to Alex and Maria for their exceptional care and attention to detail, which made our stay truly unforgettable. Without a doubt, the villa was worth every penny, and we eagerly look forward to returning in the future.
We had a wonderful time in one of the nevelo quality villas. The villas are new, stylish, spacious, bright and very well equiped on a high level of standard. Basically everything is available from a huge variety of kitchen utensils, TV and air conditioning in every room, washingmachine, dishwasher, outdoor sundbeds and chairs to different kind of pillows and towels. It feels more like a hotel. Villas were not fully booked therefore it was very silent. Nice beaches (some few minutes by car) and Cafés and tavernes in the village. The owners are very warm, friendly and helpful. We got a lot of tipps and could reach out to them any time. Very professionell. Thank you very much for this fantastic time.
The Villa location is incredible. Alex & Maria are superb hosts. They were both accommodating and very quick to respond to any questions. Villa & pool were cleaned regularly - the patio and pool area were the highlight of our stay. I highly recommend staying here.
