I spent 6 weeks here while doing my medical elective. It was an amazing house with lots of different communal areas to spend time in, I loved the pool and the whole outside area, the table tennis and the kitchen has lots of space. The room was nice, with lots of storage and air conditioning. The area was quite quiet, but it's close enough to more popular areas and it's easy enough to get around with public transport/bolt. There was a nice mix of people, there could have been more organised events, but you could always find people up for doing something if you reached out. 10/10 would recommend it if you are considering staying here :)
My time at Evolve Coliving was an experience I'll always remember fondly.
The absolute highlight for me was the people. I had the chance to meet individuals from so many different countries, cultures, backgrounds, and walks of life. It was fascinating to discover both our differences and the things we all had in common. Living together created countless opportunities for meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and genuine connections that I don't think would have happened anywhere else.
What started as living with strangers quickly turned into sharing daily life with an amazing international community. I met some truly amazing people during my stay, and even now I still keep in touch with several of them regularly. We're even talking about meeting up again in Barcelona this summer!
Evolve offers something that goes far beyond accommodation. It's a place where you can build friendships, expand your perspective, and create memories with people from all over the world. The value of those connections is something that's difficult to put a price on.
I also love seeing how the team continues to improve and invest in the experience. It's clear that they're committed to making Evolve even better for future residents.
If you're considering a stay in Malta and want more than just a room, I'd absolutely recommend Evolve Coliving. The people you meet might just become the best part of your journey.
I originally came to Evolve for a short one time stay, but ended up returning 3 different times. Each stay felt different because the vibe really depends on the people who are there at the time, but my experience was ov””mostly positive each time.
People are mostly warm, friendly, and welcoming. Every stay brought a different mix of personalities, which kept things interesting, and each time I left with lasting friendships.
The location is pretty good, with supermarkets, cafés, grocery stores, and bus stops all nearby. Bolt and Uber are also convenient and affordable options for getting around.
The common areas are cleaned regularly, and both the cleaning ladies are really lovely.
Having stayed during different seasons, I can say that summer and winter offer completely different experiences, both with their own advantages. Summer is more social and energetic, with barbecues, pool time, rooftop gatherings, and nights out. Winter is quieter and cozier, with movie nights, shared meals, game nights, weekend hikes, and other group activities.
Common areas are the main perk of living here - especially the pool area.
To give a balanced review, there are also a few downsides. The house can also be noisy due to its layout, as sound travels easily between rooms and common areas. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. Additionally, some of the furniture in the rooms could benefit from upgrades.
Overall, Evolve gave me some of my favourite memories in Malta.
I have stayed here for 1.5 years. The social environment, the work environment, the pool, gym, hot tub, rooms, toilets, cleaning - all really good benefits. But honestly, the biggest benefit - growth. The personal and professional growth I have had in this house has been life-changing. The spontaneous conversations you have in a house like this of like-minded people is the true benefit. Thank you Matt and Ola for facilitating an environment like this, I'm sure it isn't easy.
I stayed here for 2 months (November and October) and I cant get over how beautiful this place is :3. The entry is like in the palace, the roof has a great view and a jacuzzi. The pool is nothing but small. I got so buff on the gym there, i have to go to gym jail after getting back. It has all the necessary things. I received my deposit in an extremely timely manner. I enjoyed a lot the company of people i met there :3 I will never forget this experience. Thank you Ola and Matt, Hugs. PS: Malta has awesome shipwrecks to dive right into.
I had a fantastic stay at Evolve coliving! The people made the experience truly special, everyone was warm, welcoming, and easy to connect with, which created a great sense of community from day one. This place struck the perfect balance between having your own space and enjoying common areas.
I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly coliving environment.
Update from 8/28 - received my deposit after a pretty arduous process. My bank informed me "Lazy Entrepreneurs" aka Evolve inputted incorrect information about the recipient which is why it didnt get to me.
Ill just start by saying theres nothing in this review that wasn't brought up to the people who run Evolve - Matt and Ola. I cant remember the last time I wrote a negative review and truthfully they both seem like kind people - but I sort of felt like I had no choice.
Its been 18 days since I've moved out and I still havent received my deposit of over 2000 euros. I signed a lease that states I'll receive my deposit if I returned the room (which also costs 2040 euros) in good condition. Matt sent me a whatsapp an hour after I moved out stating that the deposit is on its way - and I still havent received it after dozens of back and forth messages, which is unacceptable.
The interesting part is there were multiple people who came to Evolve through Airbnb, who never had to sign a lease, give an interview or even pay a deposit - which goes against their whole "community" vibe. There were some other issues including cockroaches throughout the house for weeks that were called out by multiple tenants in my month long stay there. But ultimately, Ive been more than patient and not being returned back the deposit is putting me in a bad position.
I have stayed at Evolve a number of times and can say that I love it every time, the people are always warm and welcoming and it shows how much attention Matt and Ola put into finding the right people! The amenities are amazing, rooms very comfortable, wifi fast and community strong! The pool is also amazing and the garden has been a place for many BBQ’s and connections!
