Generally the staffs are super friendly, polite attitude. Room are generally clean, which is our priority. Dustbin is provided (well hidden under the kitchen cabinet). No amenities no slippers provided. AC is way too slow and hot for us, inform the technician for checking and it went slightly better after that, just that it’s still quite hot. Overall is good, please improve on the AC wind.
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The property is new, with a modern and stylish design that immediately gives a great impression. The room condition was excellent—clean, quiet, and very comfortable, which made my stay truly enjoyable.
The facilities are well maintained. The swimming pool offers a beautiful city view, and the gym is clean, well equipped, and open 24 hours, which is very convenient. The hotel also provides clean water dispensing stations on every floor, with both hot and cold water options, which is very thoughtful and convenient. Another great feature is the self-service laundry located on Level 1, so there’s no need to go outside the hotel to wash clothes.
One of the biggest highlights is the basement parking for hotel guests. Parking costs only RM6 per entry for 24 hours, which is very affordable for Kuala Lumpur. Just remember to bring your Touch ‘n Go card and validate it at the counter each time before exiting. With KL traffic being quite hectic, it’s very convenient to park here and use Grab to get around.
The location is excellent, with many international food options nearby, including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Western cuisine. The food around the hotel is delicious and easy to access. There are also a pharmacy, ATM, and convenience store right in front of the hotel, making daily needs very convenient. Accessibility is high, and the area feels safe.
Most importantly, the customer service is excellent—the staff are kind, helpful, and always willing to assist.
Overall, this hotel offers great value, comfort, and convenience. I would definitely be happy to stay here again.
This is like residency-hotel with minimum hotel-like service but overall good for what I paid for. I booked one night for solo stay. Room is very tiny but pretty fine for one person. There's no bin or amenities, only tissue, body soap, mugs, and a kettle.
Breakfast was better than I expected, kudos to egg station girl who handled nonstop orders very well.
Location is surrounded many restaurants and a mall. You can access to local restaurants (more Chinese cuisines) just Infront of entrance. There's Anytime fitness nearby so it's also a plus for me.
If you stay around 5days in KL you might wanna consider this place for a cost effective option. It's a bit far from touristy area but neighbourhood is relatively safe comparing to Pasar Seni and KL sentral.
I am writing this review while currently staying at the hotel.
I have stayed here a few times previously, as it was recommended by friends who also regularly choose this hotel when visiting Kuala Lumpur. Overall, the rooms are generally well maintained. One point to note is that the shower design tends to wet the entire bathroom area.
During this stay, I encountered an issue that I had not experienced before. The hotel provides only one towel per guest for single occupancy rooms. As I had opted out of housekeeping for privacy reasons, I requested an additional towel for the duration of my two-night stay. I was informed that additional towels were not provided and that disposable towels were available for purchase instead.
This was surprising, as I have stayed here on multiple occasions (including bookings made under a friend’s name) and had not encountered this policy previously. When I asked whether this was a new policy, I was told that this is the hotel’s standard policy. If so, this would benefit from being stated more clearly in the hotel’s terms and amenities listing, as it is not something guests would typically expect from a hotel stay.
Requesting one additional towel for a multi-night stay did not seem unreasonable, and this experience gave the impression of a more budget-oriented service approach. While this may be acceptable for a one-night stay, it fell short of my expectations based on previous visits.
As a result of this experience, I will not be returning to this property and would not recommend it to friends who are considering accommodation in Kuala Lumpur.
Think of Komune Living as student housing rather than a hotel. That way your expectations will be reasonable. If you're a low-maintenance, independently minded traveller or just staying for a short time, then you could probably make Komune Living work because the price really is very good. All the key elements are there, but nothing is in perfect working order: it's classic 2-3 star accommodation.
First, the positives: the pool and the location are unbeatable. The pool was always quiet enough for swimming lengths at sunrise, with an unforgettable view across the city. You're also surrounded by food courts with supermarkets and two LRT stations are within easy, weather-protected reach on foot (Universiti through shopping centers, Kerinchi via a footbridge). The area remains safe and lively until well after dark, but there is a lot of heavy construction traffic during the day.
Within the hotel, nearly every detail managed to disappoint. Sleep quality is low due to outside noise, mainly the trains and slamming doors. The shower drain was clogged and the toilet leaked. The internet was slow and unreliable. The room smells of drains if you turn off the aircon. Sometimes housekeeping removed the towels. A kitchenette in the room is a waste of space as no appliances, crockery or utensils are provided. No apps in the smart TV worked. You can't work in the room because the desk is too shallow for an 11" laptop and the low stool is uncomfortable. There are no power outlets beside the bed. The communal living area was grubby, loud and in a poor state of repair. I could go on, but you get the picture.
The gym looks great in photos, but doesn't seem so generously equipped when you think that the hotel has 640 rooms and enjoys consistently high occupancy - in other words, the gym is always overcrowded. You might not believe it when looking at the photos attached to this review, but they were all taken at 3am. In general queues are part of everything here, especially at reception, the elevators, the breakfast buffet.
Recent stay at Komune Living (Room 1605 - 25 Oct - 28 Oct 2025)
The room and hotel were okay overall, but the room was quite small — not much space to move around. What really surprised me was that the hotel charges for almost everything! I needed an extra towel, and they said it costs RM8 for a one-time-use towel. Then when I asked for a plate, they didn’t even provide one — even though the room has a cabinet, refrigerator, and sink. So weird.
Also, guests have to go all the way down to Level 1 just to iron clothes, which is really inconvenient. And not to mention, the LRT station is actually quite far — I thought I could just walk there, but nope… ended up taking Grab instead.
Lastly, the shower drain was stuck — after just 5 minutes, the water already started pooling up. It was so uncomfortable. Hmm, not the best stay for me.
This incredible location boasts friendly and efficient staff, amazing restaurants nearby, and clean, modern rooms. The well-maintained building ensures everything works perfectly, and the gym and pool are top notch. The price is reasonable, offering great value for the cost. Overall, I highly recommend this place!
Second time here. A very good service from Angelicca!! Arrived early around 12.30pm and requested early check in for birthday decoration for my loves one, luckily have available room so that I could checked in early. Overall everything was good, beside the hotel have a mall, can easily find food to eat. Parking flat rate at RM6 per entry for Hotel guest. Room was clean and superb.
