La Cocotera is not just a place to sleep and work. We have been creating community and building a home where like-minded people meet and form a family. Our space is focused so that digital nomads have every opportunity to bond, grow and learn together. With meetups, sports activities, meals in the sun on our terrace and many opportunities for our guests to organize events.

I stayed here for 10 days but it could have easily been many more. The beds are comfortable, the terrace is relaxed and has beautiful views of Africa, the kitchen has everything you need, the co working space is fantastic, the vibe attracts a good crowd and the staff who work there are all so friendly and have great energy. It was a pleasure - thank you for having me and I look forward to returning!

Very kind and welcoming staff—both the volunteers and the owner make you feel right at home. For the price, it’s easily one of the best places to stay for a couple of nights. I originally came for kitesurfing but ended up doing some coworking as well, which worked out perfectly. Of course, a lot depends on the people around you—and I got lucky. Great crowd, interesting conversations, a nice mix of coworking, good food, and some fun evenings. I’ll definitely be back soon. 😉

Very kind staff, volunteers and owner alike. For the price it's clearly the best place to stay for a couple nights. Haven't been there for coworking so idk

This place is just magic! Right in the center of Tarifa, great space to work remotly, such a warm welcoming team and so many wonderful people around 🧡 You just feel so comfortable and easy here - definetly will be back! Thank you so much

Kindness, comfort, convenience, La Cocotera is exceptional all around. Highly recommend for digital nomads and anyone that is looking for an above average, exonomical place to visit Tarifa.

I spent a week at the Cocotera last week (mid-July 2025). I was solo traveling, whilst being on holiday in Andalucia. Some friends who are digital nomads recommended this place to me. The vibe is super chill, clean, proper and nice rooms. Lovely staff and atmosphere. I totally recommend it and also don’t get the complaints about the noise. I am a light sleeper so bef arriving I just asked to be placed in a quite room. Even then, during the week Tarifa is quite chill and most of the rooms were empty (even if it’s high season). Just a few recommendations: the terrace needs some care (it def doesn’t look like in the pics from the website), there are no yoga courses offered, and I believe some towels could be provided - like in many other hostels. For the rest, I definitely recommend it to anyone who’s is on holidays or teleworking. One more thing, I found it a bit pricey (I was alone so I always end up paying the extra bed) - and I know Tarifa it’s expensive, but it’s still a hostel 🙂. Great location anyway.

A cute, small, and cozy coworking space—perfect if you’re looking for a calm and inspiring place to get work done. The staff are incredibly welcoming and genuinely care about creating a good atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re in Tarifa and need a productive spot with good vibes!

I had a great experience at the hostel! Veró is so so welcoming and helped with any and every question I had (especially about kitesurfing lessons and the cooking hob!). I stayed in the studio apartment for a week and it was lovely. The rooftop terrace is ace too. The hostel is located in a quiet part of the old town. The people at the hostel and the co-working space made it an amazing community! It’s a lovely relaxed space that is easy to meet people and enjoy the bars, restaurants, and atmosphere of Tarifa. I highly recommend it and want to go back!
