I regularly doing wedding photography at Château Le Mouchetard, and for me it’s truly a dream place to photograph weddings. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable, with a subtle blend of French and English character throughout the property. On the wedding day, the owners are always present yet invisible, allowing everything to unfold naturally. It’s a place I genuinely hope to return to again and again.
I regularly work at Castle de Mouchetard, and for me as a photographer, this is truly a dream location. The owners have turned this place into something very special, allowing their guests to feel like they are in a completely different world, while also feeling at home. The atmosphere exudes tranquillity, comfort, and a mix of both French and English culture. The owners are on standby but invisible on the day itself, allowing guests to feel completely at ease. I hope to come back as often as possible!
We had our wedding here at the end of August 2024. Caroline was so amazing and helpful from the start, she helped me with finding suppliers, planning, answering any questions and queries. I couldn't thank her enough for that. Our guests had such an amazing time and we got so many compliments on our wedding and it was all down to the beautiful castle, it is so idyllic. The barn used for the evening was absolutely beautiful and they offer so many things for you to decorate with - for not extra cost, which is unheard of here in the UK, everything to do with a wedding is an extra cost which is crazy! The lights in there are beautifully done also.
As for the stay, all the rooms were done nicely, everything was clean and amenities were well stocked. The hosts keep to themselves unless you need them, so you have the lovely place to yourselves. The lake is beautiful, I wish we were there a little longer and had a go on the blow up kayak/canoes they provide. They also provide bikes and so much more. The pool area was great, good seating area there to socialise in. Lovely seating area outside the front too with table and chairs and outside sofa for all to use.
I would definitely recommend and would go back for a family holiday if there was enough of us!

WOW!! What a venue. Our wedding was an absolute dream. Everything we could have asked for and MORE!!! I absolutely loved how personable Caroline & her sisters were when we viewed the venue. I cancelled all other venues that weekend as I knew it was the ONE. We had the most amazing week with 22 of our family, it was the most amazing wedding I had ever been to and it was MINE!
The rooms, amazing - so much love and style put in.
The grounds - literally breath taking!
The owners - just beautiful people. I even invited them to my wedding and they refused as they knew it was my special day but we made sure they came to our after party as they are what made the day so amazing. We had so much fun.
If you are looking for a photographer I recommend Vivien Malagnat, such a beautiful man.

I've been doing workaway in the casstle since June and it's been an awesome experience!
The place is stunning and every detail thoughtfully decorated. I love walking around and admiring the beauty of the huge trees in the land.
Being a historic property means we need certain type of cautions like no candles, to help preserve the space. Occasionally, this guidelines can create some misunderstandings with guests or people that were not prior informed.
My experience with the owners has been wonderful, always open to help and chat.
