Great and central stay however upon checkin the standard room I was allocated had a very strong and fresh smell of paint & having arrived late and being asthmatic, it was such a shock. The rooms aircon also didnt work at all I had to request another room & it was allocated however opted for an upgrade the next morning The property could be kept much cleaner & better attention to detail (room bulbs, extra blankets etc.) Anathi was the best; very kind and helpful with everything!
We had the pleasure to stay in Dec 2025 First time at this hotel What a pleasant experience Staff were friendly and helpful Room was neat and tidy Access to building and elevator via facial recognition, seamless. Centrally located and safe area Overall, a good experience Car parked overnight in the street, safe. Within walking distance of vibrant night life, but hotel in quite area.
You get what you pay for, I guess. Please note it’s a 3 star hotel and not a 4 star as per the Google info. Anyway. If you care about details when staying at any establishment, this spot will leave you wanting. Cracked glass on the revolving door at the entrance. A bit of an unpleasant smell sometimes at the foyer. Lifts that rattle but otherwise get you to where you’re going. No shower gel, shampoo or lotion in the bathrooms (there is bar soap). Nowhere to hang the hand towel. No gowns and/or slippers. No facial tissues. Blankets and mattress protector only available on request. No bar fridge in the Standard room. Instead there’s a communal fridge, microwaves and stoves on the 1st floor. (Bring a padlock for the fridge 😅😂). No hairdryers in the rooms. And housekeeping isn’t expected to wash your used cup and glass - they merely give it a rinse. But otherwise, if you’re just looking for a roof over your head, it’s pretty decent. Staff is helpful, the Standard room looked clean, sheets white, kettle, tea and instant coffee sachets provided in the rooms (no bottled water though - so bring your own). Good water pressure in the bathroom. I liked the location - pretty central with many shops within walking distance. They even provided a complimentary tote bag which was nice. I’m usually quite picky about these things, and read reviews etc. before making a decision. I didn’t this time - despite their 4.4 Google rating when I never go for lower than 4.5. Lesson learnt. 😅
Everything was on par and enjoyed my stay ,the convenience and location was what I was looking for.Housekeping staff was very friendly least could be said about reception especially the guy in glasses he might need retraining in customer service. Other then that I loved everything about the place and would definitely come back.
The room was clean and well maintained. We even got a complimentary bag 🎒 🛄 very cute. Overall good The breakfast was also very nice
Great location ! I spent weekends at the Town House Hotel (now called the neighborhood) pardon the pun but whats good about the neighbourgood ? Just the café/restaurant downstairs. I remember in the late 80s and early 90s this place was magical well put together excellent service. They deserved a 5 star.... Looked forward to visiting as a teenager. NOW I wouldn't want to spend a minute longer than I have to. Sub quality. Sub standard. It feels like an empty shell and almost like a student residence kind of vibe. The Town House Hotel has always delivered ....service....quality....beauty....elegance...tradition.....But now all that is lost. Cheesy furniture in the rooms. Jam packed cramped rooms. Not a good experience. Its so sub standard im shocked at the way things have "not transformed" but deformed. I remember the beautiful furniture in the restaurant the amazing carpets thick and lush and the buzzing of professionals popping in for a quick lunch / brunch or coffee......What went wrong ?
All the staff are friendly and attentive, making it feel like home away from home. Perfectly located not only to move around town but also for piece and quite at night. Definitely my favourite out of all the hotels I've stayed in.
We had a fantastic experience using the workspace at Neighbourgood East City . The space itself was beautifully set up — clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed (and more!). The staff were incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and supported throughout. Our customers felt at ease, and our showings went off without a hitch — a real testament to the professionalism and care from the team. A big thank you to the staff and management of Neighbourgood East City . We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended.
