It’s a very convenient place to stay if you are running CT Marathon. The rooms are perfect and the people super helpful! Will definitely come back here. The restaurant near by was also super convenient
SCAM. Rooms dont look at all like on the pictures of the website(s). Feels like a scam, I was coming to see the room 3 days before I was supposed to move in. I tried to cancel and refund but they dont allow, even for 1 months booking worth of 2000 USD. Then they tried to rent out the same room a second time as I was not moving in.
UPDATE: there was no refund done at all, even though in this answer it states "refunded 2nd October" - its a LIE! SCAM. Rooms dont look at all like on the pictures of the website(s). Very relaxing experience, friendly staff, clean rooms ,warm beds loved it .Extremely comfortable and luxurious. Will definately stay at Neighbourhood again.😊And the kids were sorted too! A BIG PLUS FOR US.
Thank you for your hospitality. The venue was perfect for us as we were at work trip. It offered us the space to sit and do some work and the fact that the packing was inside, we appreciated that the most and the rooms were cleaned daily.
We will visit it again in the near future.
What a lovely place to stay in. It felt more homey than anything else. The building was a bit old school, but the view was okay. Closer to the beach.
I had a wonderful stay in Cape Town and felt very comfortable in this building. The overall atmosphere was great, and I especially loved the convenience of having a café right next door—both a spot for breakfast and a smaller café directly attached to the building.
The cleanliness was impressive, with rooms being cleaned daily and fresh towels provided regularly, which I really appreciated.
That being said, there were a few minor downsides. The pool was often quite dirty, despite being cleaned daily. Somehow, it never really felt fresh after the cleaning, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, every Friday there was a “Late Runners Club” event that created a lot of noise, disturbing many residents. It was simply too loud and started way too early in the morning.
Another small issue was the kitchen in the White House—it felt quite outdated and lacked some essential appliances, making it a bit challenging to cook there. In contrast, the kitchen in the Blue House was much more modern and better suited to the overall standard of the rooms. The air conditioning in the White House also didn’t work properly, which was another minor inconvenience.
However, these were all relatively small issues that could be easily fixed. Overall, the beds were extremely comfortable, and everything else in the rooms was excellent. I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning next year when I’m back in Cape Town!
