The place is way bigger than the photos. Beautiful and peaceful. Great location near many cafes and restaurants. You can easily walk to the beach.
I had a great time at Outsite Bali.
The property is beautiful, the swimming pool stunning. I mostly worked at the common table at the open dining area, with the view on the pool.
The villa was spacious and elegant, enough space for two people.
Community manager Nova is above all expectations, he organized events and dinners throughout the week.
The property is ideally situated in Pererenan, a bit off the busy streets of Canggu, yet very close to nice cafés, shops, and the beach.
We were due to stay here and have our wedding when covid hit. There was no communication from the villa to us or other people they just went MIA with all of our money. Close to $10,000 AUD. We have made multiple attempts to contact this new management to honour our booking.
Don’t give this bull about new management for the better. This new management outsite has refused to be of any help, offer any credit and let our group use the villa. We didn’t want a refund, just to be able to use the villa like we had booked and paid for in full! When you take over a business you need to honour previous bookings.
Such a disgrace of a place and greedy people.
The villa is amazing, it has one of the best pools I’ve seen anywhere and the rooms are huge. The property is even better in person and is massive. But what makes Outsite Bali truly special is Nova the community manager and the community at this location. It was an incredible experience. The location is also really great, on a quieter street outside the hustle bustle but close to everything. Rooms could use a little more TLC, just minor stuff.
I LOVED my time here!
The pictures and description simply don’t do this place justice.
Outsite Pererenan is incredible. The location is serene and peaceful, away from the noise of the busy roads. The facilities and ground are stunning and spacious.
I stayed for 3 weeks, and when I arrived I had a bunch of activities I planned to do around Bali. I found in most cases that I’d rather hang out at the villa than leave for an excursion. When I did feel like popping out, it was easy to do so since the location is so close to the main road, the beach, and a short scooter ride from Canggu.
(Too many good restaurants and coffee shops are within a 5-10 minute walk.)
Shout out to the manager, Nova. He’s such a nice guy, is generous with his time, is very responsive, and puts together a nice amount of group activities that he attends.
I have taken time to send all of those to outsite and despite saying "oh, we're sorry" they did not change a thing. So... I'll set your expectations right.
Overall: Overpriced and easy to fix problems that don’t get fixed
Pros:
- Property layout, it's also really pretty.
Cons:
- No laundry included as advertised (you can give it to the staff, but you'll have to know that and pay for it. Some people were going far to do their laundry until I told them)
- Warm water cooler (every other accommodation in Bali has cold water)
- You see those pretty bathtubs in the pictures? Hold your horses. They are dirty, and some are broken (you need to put a glass upside down to stop water from running away. You're welcome)
- Weekly room clean (every other accommodation in Bali had daily room clean) - this means all the gecko poops are on you - I was spending some time every day to clean those up. Plus even during a weekly clean no one noticed some huge poops next to my bed. Whatever lived there - it stank (pics attached)
- Coworking space is basic and basically sad. Not many people actually worked from there and I stopped it after 3 days
- No international plugs in coworking space
- The communal fridge was not cleaned for a looooong time
- The sheets I got after first week had blood(?) on it.
The walls were chipping, the curtains were stained
- My shower spelled like... A public toilet in a train station. (to move your imagination)
- Plastic roof over a part of the room is an awful idea - it gets warmed up really fast and when it rains - it's LOUD. And I mean loud enough to wake me up.
- There's no real community management or community at all. For a company that literally has "community" in their website title there's nothing that would be building up A COMMUNITY. (pro tip: putting digital nomads into one building will not automatically make them create a community).
The place is way overpriced for what it is. I did not get any significant business ideas or anything (which I did during my stay in other places)
In summary, there are much better options for the money if you want the service you would expect at this price. You can get a villa for that and you will be as alone as you are here. Minus the poops.
I took the time to respond to Outsites automated email asking for feedback, and received no response (so leaving it here).
Overall: Overpriced and easy to fix problems that don’t get fixed
Pros:
- Property layout
- Staff
Cons:
- No laundry included as advertised
- Warm water cooler (every other accommodation in Bali has cold water)
- Weekly room clean (every other accommodation in Bali had daily room clean)
- Stained/old sheets & towels
- Coworking space is basic
- The communal fridge was not cleaned in the 2 weeks I was there (and had evidently not been cleaned for the 2 weeks prior)
These are issues that Outsite apparently know about but do not want to pay to solve. There are other issues, like staff not getting paid on time, that didn’t directly affect my stay but do not leave the best taste in my mouth.
In summary, there are much better options for the money if you want the service you would expect at this price.
