I came in person to check it out, but it turns out the community is actually closed during the summer — it operates only as a sort of Airbnb house during that period. The website wasn’t clear enough about this; it didn’t mention that the whole "community" shuts down for the summer. I ended up wasting my time coming here for nothing, which was frustrating. That said, the place is very beautiful, though it does feel a little bit isolated. But its part of the charm i suppose.
Pomar is truly the place to be – everything is perfectly organized!
The food is excellent, the project management is top-level, and the sports activities are great. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the climate is pleasant even when it’s hot.
Claire and her boyfriend are extremely reliable and always respond quickly to any questions. Highly recommended!
I‘ve been to POMAR twice already and it will certainly be many more times in the future!
The locations are carefully chosen and always nothing short of absolutely stunning.
The host Claire is amazing and the way she engages the community is something I‘ve never seen before.

POMAR is a place that spread the most beautiful community vibe, in an authentic venue in the heart of the Algarvian countryside.
Really, don’t benchmark too much. I stayed 4 months there, always extending to feel completely rooted in the local culture. Claire is there everyday to take care of her tribe, as her own family.
If you’re looking for a different way to travel and the real sense of Hospitality, you are at the right place.
Absolutely loved my 2-week stay in POMAR Na Serra! The villa is gorgeous and spacious, with its own pool, immersed in peaceful, green scenery. Great community, lots of activities, such as yoga, orange picking, dinners etc. The community manager lives on site (Tobi you were the best), and both him and the co-founder Claire try their best to make everyone feel welcome! Recommend 100%
I had the best month at POMAR! The setting is perfect – the house is surrounded by countryside and close to the town and beaches. The rooms are comfortable and the coworking space is well-equipped, with plenty of desk space and second screens, creating the ideal setup for productive work days.
The highlight of my stay was the sense of community, there’s plenty to get involved in from dinners, yoga, workshops and weekend activities. A huge thank you to Claire and Community Manager Tobi, for creating such a fun and welcoming atmosphere and making my time so memorable.
POMAR is a special place, and I’m definitely planning on coming back. I highly recommend for productive work days, exploring the Algarve and meeting wonderful people!
Just wow! POMAR coliving is a wonderful coliving space and my partner and I enjoyed 5 weeks there to work remotely. The house location was stunning, in the countryside but close to nearby towns. There were plenty of group activities (Crossfit, family dinners, movie nights, yoga and orange picking!) and we met awesome people during our stay. Despite the unpredictable weather, we loved our time here. Big thanks to Claire and community manager Toby!
