The villa is in a beautiful location in Sicily. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole week. The food was healthy and delicious. The staff was attentive to any needs and shuttled us to multiple painting and sightseeing locations. A week we will never forget!
Salinara is an absolute gem, overflowing with charm and character. Our stay here felt like a slice of paradise! The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared—and every meal felt like a treat. The staff was wonderfully helpful and friendly, always going the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. The hosts, Adriano and Yumi, are the warmest, most welcoming couple; they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location is stunning, nestled in nature with only a short 5-minute bike ride to the sea, which is ideal for both runners and cyclists looking to explore the scenic surroundings. The morning yoga space was another highlight for me—peaceful, spacious, and the perfect start to each day. Salinara truly exceeded all expectations, and we can’t wait to come back!
Spent a week at Salinara for a painting retreat. The hosts, Yumi and Andriano, were amazing! They organized many wonderful field trips and made sure our every need was taken care of. Yumi even found a driver to take me to my grandmothers birth town, 2 hours away. Salinara is a beautifully restored farm. I especially loved my room and the antique tiles used everywhere. The meals and wine were amazing. I would highly recommend Salinara for any type of retreat or big family gathering.
I’m on my fifth stay at Salinara Art Farm. Its rustic beauty is inviting and our hosts couldn’t be better. My husband and I call Salinara our happy place.
The warmth of the welcome I received at Salinara was so gratifying. It was my second visit and it felt like coming home. It is relaxing and the staff are attentive and kind. We were taken on visits to many places in the area where there were lovely views to paint; easels and folding chairs were provided. The food was fresh, local, seasonal and delicious. I felt really spoiled and can't wait to go again. Below is a painting of the view from my bedroom window.
Gorgeous venue and spaces. Very accommodating and friendly staff. The owners are fascinating people and make hospitality look effortless. Accommodations were beautifully done and I can't express enough how lovely of a time our yoga retreat group had staying there! Food was exquisite as well :)
We had a wonderful week of watercolor painting at the Art Farm at Salinara. Gary Tucker’s workshop was excellent, the excursions were exciting, the food was great, and the staff was friendly and attentive. It was a lovely event! I especially want to share one experience because I know people worry about medical issues when we travel to remote locations in other countries. I had a fall in a parking lot that resulted in a very bloody knee and a badly hurt ankle. This could have been serious. However, one of the other guests carefully treated my wounds, and then Adriano and Yumi of the Art Farm came to the rescue. The following morning, Adriano drove me and my wife to the urgent care unit of a very good hospital in nearby Marsala, and he waited to make sure we were settled in. The care I received at the hospital was superb. It took time, but that is the case everywhere. I had an MRI and we learned that my ankle was sprained and not broken. This was important! I left with a full medical report in both English and Italian that included several prescriptions. There was no charge. At the end of the ordeal, Adriano picked us up, stopped at a pharmacy for all my medications, and we returned the the Art Farm where Yumi had a pair of crutches waiting for me. Thank you, Adriano! Thank you, Yumi! I was well taken care of and, should anything happen to you that needs attention, I’m sure you will be, too.
