I stayed at this coliving for more than 5 weeks and I had a truly wonderful time! The location is very central, so all the sights in Lisbon are within easy walking distance.
I had a private double room with a bathroom in the Madalena building, which was quite quiet. I also had access to the community room in the Beco building. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Once a week, the room was cleaned after a quick check-in with me.
A special highlight was the community – I met so many great people and really felt at home! They organize regular activities, and you can also suggest your own ideas. It was lovely that you could always reach out to the management or the volunteers with any questions, and they regularly checked in to see if everything was going well.
Additionally, there is a coworking space that you can use, including a meeting room for appointments and a phone booth for calls.
One small downside is that there’s no washing machine, but that was mentioned on the website before. There’s a laundry shop just a few minutes' walk away.
All in all, it was a fantastic stay and I’d love to come back!
I stayed at SameSame for four weeks, and it was my first true coliving experience.
I arrived without clear expectations and left with a new family, countless stories, and a positive change from the experience. Is it perfect? No, but neither is any family. What matters is that the staff listens to feedback and works to improve and fix issues.
Special mention to the volunteers: they created an incredible vibe and helped build a the community day after day. If you’re looking for more than just a place to stay, SameSame can truly leave a mark on you.
Practical notes: The location is right in the city center, super convenient, and everything is close. The trade-off is that central Lisbon can be crowded and more expensive than other areas. I stayed at Beco: beautiful common spaces, and rooms are simple/essential but still have everything you need to feel comfortable and at home. There’s no in-house laundry, but there’s a shared laundromat very close by.

I’ve stayed at SameSame twice now and will continue to come back. I had an amazing time there and have made incredible memories! It really feels like a second home.
The coliving experience here is the best I’ve experienced, with weekly community dinners and breakfasts and so many activities to enjoy together so you’re always busy. It really feels like you’re part of a family staying here, and I’ve made many genuine friends from my visits.
The team are all such lovely people, and the rooms are beautiful. You can tell so much thought has been put into the design to make it homely! Plus, the coworking is a great space to work from so it’s ideal for digital nomads.
I really recommend SameSame for anyone wanting to experience Lisbon and make new connections with awesome people! ✨
SameSame was my first coliving experience, and still the best so far! I've already been three separate times and plan to visit again sometime next year. The location is perfect and the facilities are pretty good, but the highlight is definitely the community. I think the toughest part of colivings in general is maintaining a strong social atmosphere - some places have a hard time keeping a full house and getting everybody to do stuff together. At SameSame that's never a problem. They have weekly dinners on Tuesdays and brunch on Sundays that are always packed, the environment is set up very well for mingling and casual interactions in the living areas and kitchen, the group chat is always lively and there's always stuff going on. The experience is exactly like it looks on Instagram, don't miss out!
Same Same is an incredible place to stay in Lisbon. The property is spacious, with the option to stay in a house or an apartment, and the common areas are amazing. There are plenty of group activities, which makes it really easy to make friends with people from all over the world.
For work, it’s perfect. The coworking space is comfortable, with meeting room and a private phone booth for calls. I stayed there for over a month and absolutely loved it. It was an amazing experience, I made great friends, met so many people, and I would definitely come back. I truly recommend it to any digital nomad. And the location couldn’t be better.
Awesome community, beautiful space, great location, convenient coworking space and probably the best value in this part of town. What more could you ask for? 🫶
Great location if you want to be in the heart of Lisbon. Staff is generally responsive and people are welcoming. I stayed for more than a month and had a positive experience overall (with some caveats).
Caveats:
It could be improved with better kitchen equipment/supplies and required/enforced quiet hours. The vibe leaned heavily towards drinking to socialise most evenings, which was somewhat disappointing. Note that social events take place in Beco house and echo in all the rooms (this disrupted my sleep multiple times/week). Cleaning only takes place on weekdays and co-livers left shared spaces a mess on weekends.
I had such a good time at this coliving. It's a great place to stay, work and meet like minded people. Everyone was super friendly and I made really good meaningful connections. The place is clean, modern and well organized. If you're considering to stay, rather book a longer stay than a short one!
