The Sprachcaffe language school looks good on the outside, but once you dig deeper, you realize that all of their marketing and comments are lies or misunderstandings. I came to take a month-long course, and it was a disaster. Then, I had to research another Sprachcaffe event to improve my German. First, the teachers are terrible. For the A1 and B1 levels, they only use books, and they don't teach you important information about improving your German. Most of the time, the classes are boring. Even my friend says, "If I had the chance, I wouldn't go to the classes." Even if you complain about this situation to the people in charge of the Sprachcaffe language school, nothing will change. They try to change it, but there are no teachers who can teach German, so you have to stay in the course or not go to the course. In my case, I didn't go to the courses and told them I wouldn't be coming to class. They said: "Well, this is all we can do about the situation." I told them that was all right. Then I left. I'm not satisfied with the teaching and the system. Not even the German teacher can teach their own language. Why would I take courses? Why would people take this language school? Some teachers are really good at teaching German, but not all of them are. So be careful. If you're intimidated by German, take private classes. They are more effective at teaching German.
The Teachers are experienced and speak mostly many languages which make things easier for all student from all over the world.I was lucky to have Paola, Peter, Mathias as teachers who helped me a lot. Moreover the staff is friendly, helpful
I did my b2 telc test in this school .... i got full mark for the oral exam ... i failed in the writing part with just 0.5 below the pass score ... this was because one proctor promised to give a notification before the time is up and her colleague did not do so ... I was not able to transfer all my answers to the answers sheet ... so unprofessional
Additional review: I forgot to say that after you pay for the test ... It is ok for them to tell you sorry there is no enough number of test takers at this date and they postpone your test
There is no proper organization or structure, and it is far too expensive for what they offer.!
For me, it ended up being a complete waste of time and money.
I truly hope they improve these areas in the future...
School seems disorganised and had poor communication skills. In the extensive course, the morning and afternoon classes don't connect and are with different teachers and students. This often means materials is repeated. In my afternoon class I was put in a whole level above. They actively chose not to inform me of this and I had to actively advocate to access the classes I had paid for. Unfortunately this happened two to three times for the month I was there. Is was a recurring issue. Also the age range varied greatly, from 12 to 30+
The class is excellent; well-organized, thorough and well-paced. The teacher is friendly, supportive and has a lot of patience. I enjoy the classes and will continue to study at Sprachcaffe. I am a resident of Frankfurt.
School seems disorganised and had poor communication skills. Classes don't follow structure given in information. In my afternoon class I was put in a whole level above. They actively chose not to inform me of this and I had to actively advocate to access the classes I had paid for. Unfortunately they were unable to honour this and I only received 50% of the classes I supposed to receive in the afternoon.
I did a three weeks A1.1 and A1.2 level at Sprachkaffe, I had a wonderful time and really improved my german and learned a lot. I understood some when I arrived but after the three weeks I could actually speak basic german. The class was really fun and the people very international and super nice. I loved our teacher Siegfried, he is the best teacher, good pedagogue, patient, he tried to do a real immersive course in german as much as possible, explaining words in german when possible and explaining the gramatik. he was so sweet and caring ! Thank you sprachkaffe, I will keep very good memories of my time in Frankfurt ! vielen danke, Man sieht sich immer zweimal im Leben xx
