There is so much potential in this place if it was managed differently. Suiters Malaga is managed like a serviced apartment, not a Coliving. The building is well located in the city center, brand new, very modern, and has almost every amenity you could want, including central heating/cooling in the rooms, nespresso machines, and a gorgeous rooftop. Except, it's completely missing a sense of community.
1. Upon arrival you use a code to enter the building and your suite. There was no tour, so you have to find all of the building facilities on your own.
2. There are no introductions to anyone in the building and almost no organized community activities to facilitate interactions. I met the "community leader" a week into my stay on accident after entering the coworking space. During a one month stay, there was a single (rather poorly organized) gathering in the common area. This could easily be remedied by having a weekly calendar of events like shared potluck dinners, game nights, and rooftop yoga or happy hours to facilitate community interactions.
3. The most unfriendly and unwelcoming group of people I've ever encountered in a Coliving. Colivers often didn't respond to questions in the WhatsApp group, little to no effort was made by community members to organize outings or invite anyone to join-in anything. Generally, the guests keep to themselves and are not looking to make new friends. I found this experience incredibly different and disappointing compared to other Colivings.
4. While there is an excellent community kitchen for the building, there is no shared pantry, so guests only staying for a month or two have to buy everything from salt, sugar, oil despite other guests leaving behind half used pantry items. This is so wasteful and unheard of in other Colivings.
To summarize, if you are looking for an amazing short-term to mid-term apartment in the city center, this is an excellent option. If you are looking for a Coliving and community, look elsewhere.
First time in Malaga and started at Suits. I had an amazing stay here. Noelia was great and made everything easy from the start. The people were also amazing, very friendly, and the overall energy of the place was really positive.
The rooftop is a highlight. It is perfect for meeting others and socializing. The location is also very convenient, close to everything you need.
One thing to keep in mind. Try to get a room that is not facing the bars or on the higher floors. It can get quite loud at night from people outside.
Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay again.
Even when Malaga had its grey days, Noelia made sure the sun was still there in her own way. During the winter, it was an amazing refuge with great people from all over the world. The perfect place to escape the grey. I’ve already booked my return. :)
Had the best experience in Suiters (Malaga). Everything was as described. Noelia is super kind and sweet and made the whole process smooth, quick and easy. I met great people there and enjoyed living in the center of this amazing city. Would definitely come back!
I stayed at Suiters for two months to learn spanish in Malaga and I absolutely loved it! Suiters has great rooms, a cool gym and a even better rooftop! You can meet new people there everyday. The location was perfect too - right in the middle of the center really close to calle larios and to various bars/clubs - but surprisingly it was not loud at all. Thanks to Noelia everything worked really smoothly and she helped me with every question I had. Couldn’t be more pleased with the whole experience! I will definitely recommend to everyone who is searching for a room/suit in malaga centro!
