I put down the $$ for a deposit to stay with Surfbreak PXM in October for a one-month long stay starting in December. Shortly thereafter, I received news from my family that my mother had been diagnosed with late stage cancer. I reached out to Surfbreak to explain the situation and to request that my deposit be moved to a later
month given my circumstances. My request was denied and as such I lost the entire deposit. I feel this could have been approached with more sympathy and general humanity from Surfbreak’s perspective. I don't know if I'll consider staying with them anymore.
I loved it! The location is so nice because it’s walking distance from the main strip, but also away enough where it’s quiet and relaxing. Living in community is really nice and I really enjoyed the common areas like the pool, the rooftop, And living room with tv as I love having movie nights. I really enjoyed that they gave us so many free things in the kitchen, I got free eggs, milk, yogurt, granola, oils, spices , coffee etc.
Also I love that every single sink and shower has a filter in it!! This really helped :) and ofc it has great WiFi and amazing views!! So close to the beach so sunset is a must every day with Surfbreak squad
Really great experience. Facilities were nice, location is mint, and wifi was great.
Was most impressed, however, with the friendliness and responsiveness of the staff.
I had booking issues with my flights into Puerto, and they were super helpful with accommodating last second changes and flexing room options to help me out.
Look no further! Surf break and their staff are amazing! My room had ac, the kitchen was fully equipt, and the bathrooms were very clean. It was located in between Zicatela and La punta in the perfect spot. I’m already trying to go back!
I am so happy I accidentally stumbled upon Surfbreak on a casual walk and ended up staying here for the rest of my time in puerto escondido! The location was right by the beach, the rooms were nice and clean, the wifi was exceptional, and there were little office rooms to work in, which I really enjoyed as I was there for a work trip. A 10/10 stay with wonderful people there too. Thank you so much for having me, I’ll definitely come back, and recommend Surfbreak to everyone I know!
It was amazing staying at Surfbreak, such a nice time and community. My room had a nice view into greenery and I could here the waves from my room. Ones I walked out of the room I saw the ocean. It is a 1 min walk to the beach and also La Punta is walkable with all the nice restaurants. There were a lot of super nice and inspiring people during my stay were I connected with. The room is good enough and the common areas were nice to hang out. I would stay again! Thanks guys❤️
An unforgettable experience, not just for surfers and not just a stay...
This was my second time here, and this time I brought 5 others along to host a retreat focused on the wellness of remote professionals. It’s hard to put into words how special this place is. The views are stunning, the location is perfect, and the cleanliness is top-notch, but the real magic is in the people that run this place and the culture they've cultivated with the people who stay here.
This is a vibrant community of professional remote workers. The energy here is inclusive, warm, and built on a true go-giver mentality. You’re instantly welcomed like family, and you can feel that everyone genuinely cares about your experience. Erik, Tania, Ringo & Sinai go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and enhance your experience every chance they get. You never feel like a burden going to them, quite the opposite.
Traveling solo? You’ll never feel alone here. Ladies, if safety is on your mind, this place will feel like your sanctuary. Every detail makes you feel comfortable, supported, and part of something bigger.
If you’re on the fence, don’t overthink it. Like Nike says, just do it and trust me, you’ll understand what I'm talking about.
This is the third time I stayed at Surfbreak and it was amazing as always! It has everything you need: filtered water at every sink, warm and cold shower, fast WiFi, and the power NEVER goes out! The location has super easy access to La Punta and Zicatela, easy parking, super close to the beach and very quiet. There are also events/yoga sessions now and then, foam surfboard, pool is always kept clean. I made great friends here on my first two days. The managers and staff are beyond friendly. Can’t say more except that this is the one place to stay at if you’re in puerto!
