🏨 has short staysFine for a workation, but significant turnover works against coliving principles for a cohesive community; a longer minimum stay supports better interactions. What is coliving?🤔 unfacilitatedNobody responsible for facilitating social life and activities, there may be an app or chat, or members may participate themselves.🚗 requires a vehicleNo transport and no pickup available so you'll probably need to take a taxi, but you may be able to arrange from other residents and they may also organise shopping trips together — enquire to check how it works.🙈 ranks very lowAs a 'coliving' this space likely doesn't meet expectations — yet may be acceptable if you're not expecting much. The room was very beautiful, spacious, and comfortable.
I love the modern concept as instead of using keycard, they use a door code for room access, and it was something new for me.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I just remember Guna, but there were a few others whose names I’ve forgotten.Excellent customer service overall.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and modern place to stay
Great location & amazing service!
There's even a convenience store right next door, which makes it super convenient.
The only downside is the washroom—the smell was a bit strong and moldy. But overall, it's still a good place to stay for a couple of days.
Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price
My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and definitely not worth the price.
To begin with, the laundry service was absurd – not only were the prices unreasonably high, but they also insisted on a minimum of 2kg, which is completely impractical for solo travelers.
Basic amenities were a joke. There was no complimentary water bottle in the room, and when I asked, I was directed to a water dispenser on the floor. However, it wasn’t even a purifier, just a hot-and-cold dispenser, and the water tasted salty.
The bathroom products were of poor quality. The shower gel was slimy, barely produced foam, and felt very cheap. The hand wash was ineffective – even after washing twice, the smell of oil remained on my hands, which clearly shows how weak the product was.
I had requested early check-in and informed the hotel well in advance that I would be arriving by 12 PM. I was told that if rooms were available, they would try to accommodate me. However, upon arrival, I saw two guests checking out in front of me, yet I was told no rooms were available and check-in would be only after 2 PM. It clearly doesn’t take two hours to prepare a vacated room, so this felt dishonest and unhelpful.
While the rooms themselves were well-designed and comfortable, the service was shockingly poor. For two days, no one came to clean the room, and on the third day, I had to explicitly ask for housekeeping. Room cleaning is a basic expectation in any hotel, and this level of service is unacceptable.
Lastly, I found the staff lacking courtesy and professionalism. Even simple requests were met with disinterest, and their overall attitude was far from welcoming.
In conclusion, while the property may look good from the outside, the overall experience was a letdown. I sincerely hope the management looks into these issues, as the service is nowhere near the standard that the pricing promises.
Compared to the other hotels in the area, Tanaga stood out as being relatively in the same price range, while being dramatically more luxurious than I would have expected.
The room was huge and spacious, with modern amenities. It was quiet at night despite being just off a popular street, and there is a nice pool and a rooftop patio area (uncovered when raining).
The staff were incredibly polite and friendly, often acknowledging me by name as I came and went.
The location is wonderfully nestled in amongst a number of restaurants, ranging from street food to steak houses. If you are here for a tattoo, this is the place you'll want.
It appears Tanaga can be quite pricey in high season, but I scored a very nice deal on booking.com during low season for a fraction of the usual price.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms were clean, spacious, and modern. The pool was amazing, and the terrace with seating was a great spot to relax. They also had a kitchen where you could easily cook a small meal for yourself. The location was excellent, with many good restaurants nearby. The staff were also very friendly. I would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!
Can’t recommend this place enough. Rooms are clean and spacious. The entire place is kept so well, the living area is a cosy nook to relax or work and enough cutlery to cook up a small meal. The neighbourhood is also very easy to navigate, lot of good cafes, few souvenir shops and a supermarket just at entrance. Loved our stay here.
Hidden gem. CLEAN, QUIET, COZY. We have stayed at 3 different hotels in Bali this trip & this has THE COMFIEST BED & PILLOWS. The rooms are clean and cute. The main area and pool is tranquil, designed really nice and well equipped. Close to the hustle and bustle but far enough back off the main street that it is quiet. Just a short walk to lots of shops and restraunts. Staff are friendly. We checked into another hotel that was dirty and loud & moved to this one and im so glad we did. Would definitely book again.
