A wonderful four-night stay was slightly marred on my final day. A member of staff insisted I stop using my iPad in the 'no laptop' area, despite my need for only 15 minutes to plan my onward journey. I had specifically chosen not to use my laptop to adhere to the spirit of the rule, so the rigid enforcement felt unnecessarily discourteous. A little flexibility would have been appreciated, come on now . But overall a banging time 👍
The room was not clean at all when I checked in. There was a lot of hair on the bed. The bedding was a little dirty, so I asked for new sheets. They gave me two new sheets, but I had to change them myself. When I took off the old ones, there were yellow stains on the mattress cover (the cover on the mattress) and lots and lots of hair. Short and long hair. When I asked again if they had a new room, I got one, but it was just as dirty. There was even a (dirty) cleaning cloth on the table. I asked for more bedding to cover everything on the bed so that I could at least sleep that night. The next day, I canceled the remaining nights and checked out. For this price, I expect a clean bed! The room in General is industry look with Furniture and bed made from screen printing plates. The vibe in the Hotel is nice but the rooms are not valid for a Hotel.
Amazing views & great location. The hot tub and sauna are lovely. The hotel vibe is hip and laidback. My only thing missing for us was tea/coffee making facilities in the room but otherwise we couldn’t fault it. Would stay here again.
I WILL BE BACK! Sometimes you go to a hotel where you find yourself a little more excited about the spaces and amenities rather than exploring the city. This was one of those places! Granted Amsterdam was super cool! Loved the vibes and the staff! Amazing building! Great coffee! Such a cool hot tub roof lounge! Coming back with my fiancé as soon as possible ! This was way better , but similar to a Citizen M hotel. ☻
Place was lovely, great character and just lovely atmosphere.near loads on transport and a supermarket. So funny when we relised there were peep holes from the ring to the shower, Brianna stayed in the basic rooms but it was perfect when you weren't going to spend a lot of time in there upstairs hot tubs on the roof was amazing. So quiet. Beautiful views. The restaurant was nice. Just a very small menu and when it's busy it's hard to get service so it could be the culture but prepare to wait for a while but was amazing atmosphere wise and the food was good.
Great hotel, with a fun co-working space! The cafe has tasty pastries and great coffee. Located next to a metro stop so perfect for getting into the city. Room was lovely!
Ended at Volkshotel after my train being canceled. It was one of the cheapest and most good looking option. The room is really nice, love the architecture and decoration. A very comfy bed, with great people to welcome you. Also there is great places to eat around. Warmly recommend. I may book again for my next trip
