After two weeks of an intense working time, I choose to visit Wild Oasis again. I stayed for 13 days, living in a very sweet caravan and also at gratitude room. My dog was so happy and loved by everyone. After a few days of being in nature, I returned to my essence, connected with the earth, the mountains and was grateful for the spring water, the lovely community of people that were sharing the space at that time. I loved seeing how everyone had a role and contributed to making the place a cared and lived home. Waking up in the high Montain and seeing the views is very special.
When are you coming for a visit?
⚠️‼️CAUTION - MOLDY rooms & a CRIMINAL host ‼️⚠️
Please be aware before staying or doing a Workaway at Wild Oasis. There’s water damage upstairs & the rooms smell of mold especially the bathrooms. Even the curtain was full of moldy spots in Abundance room. I had allergic reactions to the mold and I was promised another room but the issue persisted.
The facilities are dysfunctional for long-term rentals / Digital Nomads / Co-working - the electricity and internet were out constantly and when I raised these issue with Kate the host and I was met with unimaginable hostility.
⚠️Trigger warning - physical abuse ⚠️
When I said I wouldn’t pay full price for the room due to the mold issue & lack of functional facilities, while I looked for a new place to stay, she snuck into my room with 2 of her friends, took my phone so I couldn’t call the police and put all my things in trash bags and forced me to leave. Her friend Sebastian (man in the picture) physically attacked me and threatened me with more violence if I wouldn’t leave. He even said “my parole officer won’t like this” and laughed with the others saying that the police won’t help me because I’m a foreigner in Portugal.
I left and went straight to the police station where they came to try turn it around & accuse me of not leaving the premises… although I just did 😅. I finally got my phone back after the officer forced them to give back my phone & deposit money.
Needless to say I filed a police report.
Their criminal behavior was disgusting and I seriously advice everyone TO KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY🙏
Moreover the host Kate repeatedly takes advantage of workaways/ Woofers and asks them to not write down all the hours they work. She made repeated comments of the peaple staying at wild oasis, guests and workers having “mental health issues” and using that as a reason people kept leaving with no notice… after my experience with her and her friends it seems this criminal behavior is how she behaved towards others as well. Avoid ‼️
We had a wonderful romantic weekend escape at Wild Oasis! We enjoyed the views, the sauna, the pool, the Bliss balls :) Jan & Elisa, the hosts, are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and healthy. The venue is close to some hiking trails (pequenas rotas da via Algarviana). We highly recommend this venue!
This is a truly magical place! Originally we had planned two nights but stayed a week in the end. The view is magnificent, the atmosphere to instantly unwind, all staff members are incredibly welcoming, professional and inspiring. We really enjoyed the yoga classes offered (special thanks to Tessa & Thaisa), soothing massage (thanks Elina), the sauna, fresh spring water and the luxury of an extremely well-equipped kitchen. Our time at Wild Oasis was the highlight of our trip to Portugal so far and we can recommend everyone to stay here.
Thanks again to all the beautiful souls who created and run this place with all their hearts and spirits.
Much love and loads of baby hugs from the little one ;-)

I went the Wild Oasis for a breath work immersion.
I travelled from UK, and felt immediate welcomed on arrival.
The place is full of natural beauty, nested in a forest, full of magical spots with incredible views. Deena and Dom are wonderful hosts, and their team will look after you really well.
I loved the sessions held there, the yoga is amazing!
Highly recommend this get away !
Wild Oasis was love of first sight. It is a magical and unique place thanks to it beautiful and remote location set in nature and the mountains of Monchique. What makes is even more wonderful are the beautiful hosts Dina and Dominik, as well as the lovely souls who help run the place. My stay was comfortable and very easy going. I will be back, hopefully soon and recommend it to anyone looking for peace and connection to self, nature and liked-minded people. There are also beautiful events and workshops at the Dome, which is a very special place at the top of the mountain on the Wild Oasis land.
Wild Oasis is a beautiful place only a few minutes away from Monchique town. The nature around the accommodation, the beautiful details of this place and the cozy sauna & swimming pool guarantee peaceful and relaxing times.
Kate and her super friendly team are making you feel so comfortable and you should definitely not miss out the delicious dinner and breakfast they are offering!
We are already looking forward for a next time stay! Thank you Kate and Team!
