Wonderful place! The hosts really made us feel at home. The spirit of the house is so relaxing and heartwarming. The rooms are so comfy and everything is wonderfully decorated. The breakfast is delightful! Vegan options among such variety of things.
It is surprisingly baby friendly! Our baby enjoyed playing in the living room with all the available toys and books.

One of a kind surf lodge in the stunning area of Vale da Telha!
The owners Dick and Vanessa are some of the loveliest people you will meet, they’re beyond knowledgeable about the area and won’t hesitate to give you the best recommendations for every bit of your stay
Immersed in a beautiful garden this is your comfortable home to explore the aljezur and algarve area from!
The best surf spots are just a short drive down the road and there are many hikes just on your doorstep to explore the wild and natural algarve coastline. Pristine beaches and imposing cliffs are all around.
The rooms are kept in spotless condition and you can enjoy delicious breakfast with tons of variety in the homely living room or sunny outdoor pool area! The interior design is stunning and makes you feel warm, comfy and at peace.
Dick and Vanessa are the most caring and lovely hosts and treat you like family!
They know all the good spots to visit in the surroundings and will be more than happy to help you out with anything you need, including organising surf lessons, tours or yoga sessions to make your stay even more special!

Wow!! this place is absolutely perfect. We are so happy that we found it! It’s wonderful to see how much attention, energy and love the owners put into this place. Everything is designed to give you the best en most relaxing experience. We came here in January for a week to work (from our laptop) surf swim and relax. I believe there is no better place for this all. The nature is awesome, the beaches perfect to surf, and the house is the perfect work & relaxing place.
We will come back soon for sure!
For the third time (!) a great stay at Birds of Paradise! (with family, friends or alone, it is all good)
The Sanderling room, with a super sunny balcony, is my favorite. The delicious breakfast and the useful suggestions for restaurants, activities & surf make it all very relaxed:)
