⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I stayed at Alping Co-Living & Co-Working from mid-January to the end of February, living in one of the apartments and using the co-working space daily.
It’s a beautiful place that strikes a rare balance: there are great opportunities to meet people and build social connections, yet you still have plenty of personal space and privacy. The atmosphere never feels crowded, which makes it ideal for focused work.
The rooms are excellent, the air conditioning works very well, and the air quality and ventilation are outstanding. I found it very comfortable to live and work there for several weeks.
The location is also great — slightly outside the busy city center, which makes it calm and pleasant, while still keeping everything you need within walking distance.
I would especially like to highlight the wonderful team: **JJ, **Pai at the reception, and of course the manager Amber, who all contribute to creating such a welcoming and well-organized environment.
Overall, it creates a very focused working atmosphere, and the concept of combining co-living with co-working is implemented extremely well.
I enjoyed my stay so much that I have already booked again for December and January.
Alt Ping River is a peaceful gem right by the river, perfect for getting deep work done and unwinding in nature.
JJ, Pae and Pai were incredible throughout my stay – super welcoming, always available to help, and great at bringing people together so it feels like a real community rather than just a place to sleep and work. The location is calm but still convenient, and having Nok’s amazing food literally next door is a total game changer – I ended up eating there almost every day.
I also loved the wellness setup: cold plunge and sauna three times a week is the ideal reset after a day of work and made the whole experience feel like a mini-retreat. Overall, Alt Ping River is an amazing spot for digital nomads who value focus, comfort, and a friendly community vibe.
The only thing I regret is that I only stayed here for ten days! Every corner is clean, bright, and full of greenery, giving such a chill and comfy vibe. The workspaces are great, with reliable wifi and everyone focused and quiet. The rooms of the type I booked each have a few small differences, but it wasn’t really an issue.
But what really makes this place special are the connections you get to make: meeting people from different cultures and fields, joining activities together, or just chilling at a cute café nearby in the afternoon… I met so many amazing people here, and that’s honestly Alt’s biggest charm.
Big thanks to the staff, Pai, JJ, and Pae, for always being friendly and helpful (JJ’s coffee recommendations were amazing!).
Feeling so lucky for this experience and already can’t wait to come back!
Stayed here for 1,5 months.
Initially just 1 month, but I extended it.
The community is great. No backpackers, just people who're ready to lock in and get some work done - and then go eat some food, go for a drink or cola after work.
People aren't greedy, they share fruit and food when there's soom.
The events are super fun, even though there were 5-10 per day during the Nomad Week and I missed all of them haha
Lots of love to the staff and the other nomads. Look forward to coming back!
I came to this coworking space through a recommendation. I was told it’s a great place for community and meeting people, so I decided to try it out. I signed up for a two-week membership first, just to see how it feels before committing long term.
The space itself is really nicely designed. It’s clean, well organized, and the chairs are comfortable. You can tell that care was put into the interior. However, it’s only one open space. There’s no separate focus zone or a more relaxed area, so everything happens in the same room.
It’s also very cold inside because the air conditioning is constantly on. I was sitting next to a friend and we were quietly typing and occasionally whispering, since the rules say to speak quietly. However, a staff member came over and asked us not to talk at all, even though the posted rules clearly say “talk quietly,” not “no talking.”
The atmosphere feels quite strict and not very warm. On the tables there are small cards that say something like “Less talk, more work,” which kind of sets the tone. There’s not much natural opportunity for interaction.
I wanted to join the pizza night, but I was told it’s only for people with a monthly membership. That honestly didn’t make much sense to me, especially when the place promotes itself as community-oriented. Some days a guy suddenly shouts “Tea time!” and everyone is expected to socialize on the spot. It feels a bit forced, and I didn’t enjoy that dynamic either.
Overall, it’s an okay place if you just want to come in, work quietly, and go home. But if you’re looking for a relaxed, friendly community vibe, I personally didn’t experience that, especially since some social events are limited to monthly members only. I left feeling a bit disappointed with the atmosphere.
The staff, the coliving rules, and the community together create a very special environment that feels psychologically comfortable and naturally encourages communication between residents. I met many interesting people here, and it is unlikely that I would have had the chance to connect with such individuals outside of the coliving setting. Living here genuinely expanded my social and personal opportunities 🤝
Room for improvement:
1) The coworking area is quite compact, so when someone nearby is sneezing or coughing, it can feel uncomfortable. It might be helpful to introduce a guideline encouraging residents who feel unwell to wear masks, and perhaps provide free masks on-site.
2) For long-term residents, it would be nice to have small additional conveniences such as helmet rental for motorcycles, extra hangers for wardrobes, and storage organizers for personal belongings.
Overall, it was a positive experience, I'm grateful for the time spent here 🫶
P.S. I have nothing much to add beyond what has already been mentioned in other reviews, but I would encourage readers to approach them thoughtfully and distinguish between objective points and personal perceptions.
Top tier exprience
One of the best colivings for digital nomads if not the best.
The coworking is very comfortable, staff are always helpfull and friendly. With a nap room, phone booths, small sauna, icebath and more to get the best out of you
Close enough to the old city and still far from the noise.
Some people might complain about the price but it really brings in quality interesting personas, besides the activities and the stuff mentioned above
I stayed here for a month for about $1500 for a premium room, to me this Coliving was just not worth it. Go to the the Social Club in Chiang Mai as it’s much better.
Pros:
-The people coming through are friendly and pretty awesome over all.
-Workspace is great
Cons:
-No difference between a standard and premium room except a slightly bigger bed. there is no extra furniture and you are paying literally for empty space
-Ants if you are on the first floor
-The staff are lazy, my battery was low on my key code door and they never fixed it until I got locked out. Same problem with the main gate, I was locked out on new years and had to hop a fence.
-Badly designed, the TV and gathering space was in front of people’s rooms. So you can never make too much noise and as a result there is never people to hang out with after dinner to play games or chill.
-So far from everything, you need a motorbike to do anything.
-Greedy, if you book a higher tier room, even if they have lower cost ones they won’t tell you. They want to renew the expensive ones they can’t push out (they could just make those room better so people buy it naturally but they won’t)
-Staff sit behind the desk all day or in the cafe and never interacts with the people staying there. But at the same time, any request takes 4-6 hours get back to you.
The people staying are great but that’s every Coliving. If you want the greediness of a corporate run Coliving without any of the professionalism, stay here.
Edit: Owner tried to character assassinate me because I gave a 2 star honest review, pretty sad response. Characteristic of the lack of professionalism I mentioned. Downgraded to one star.
