Top 3 worst hotels we've ever stayed in, and not even 3rd. Positive points:
- Location
- Comfortable bed
- Air conditioning
And that's it. We stayed for 6 nights. Upon arrival, we noticed that the room was tiny; we barely had room to move around. No towel warmer. After 2 nights in this hotel, the room still hadn't been cleaned (and therefore, no fresh towels). After 3 days without housekeeping, we took the liberty of calling (since there was no reception) to find out when our room would be cleaned, and we were calmly informed that housekeeping is only done every 4 days. After 4 days, we expected to return to a clean room, but no, apparently all the hotel staff had gone to see the fireworks (without any prior planning). When we called again (since there was still no reception), we reached the Marseille staff who, of course, couldn't do anything. So we spent five days with damp towels (because it was impossible to dry them), an uncleaned floor, and dust everywhere, meaning we only had a clean room for two days. Even in the cheapest hotels, housekeeping is done every one or two days. I'd rather not even mention the coffee machine, which was just for decoration, since we only got to use it twice. It's a disgrace. I don't recommend this place and I won't be back. 👎👎👎
The hotel is located near the Léon Blum tram stop, making it easily accessible by public transport. There are fairly spacious elevators for luggage and a small bar on the side of the hotel. For a standard double room, it was great (large bed with four pillows and soft bedding, large wardrobe, air conditioning, TV with Netflix and YouTube, ample space and storage in the bathroom, hairdryer, kettle, and coffee maker). The shower doors dripped a little water onto the floor, but nothing major. The space to get to the other side of the bed was limited, the windows didn't offer much privacy, and there were blackout curtains. There was no desk, but overall the room was fine. The only major drawback was that the access badge for both the elevator and the room was deactivated from the very first day... Having arrived at the hotel after 10 PM, there was no one on the phone to help me change the badge, no reception staff at all, I had to manage on my own. After contacting customer service on the second day, the second badge was deactivated again, this time at 9 PM, phew! There was even someone there to give me a third one!!!
The apartment was generally good. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped. It had a large window in the kitchen-dining area. Parking is available in the same building. The only "drawback" was that we had some trouble accessing it with the codes, but after that everything was fine.
Disappointing. The room looked nothing like the photos, the staff was impossible to reach, the Wi-Fi wasn't working, the towels weren't changed, and the bed was never made, which is supposed to be normal for a "hotel." The parking lot belongs to several surrounding buildings, which wasn't mentioned. Furthermore, the parking lot gate couldn't be opened from the inside, meaning my car would have been stuck if I hadn't manually opened it by disabling the electric gate. Everything was very poorly signposted, the cleanliness wasn't impeccable, and the room and bed were tiny, contrary to the photos.
The hotel rooms are tiny, the bed is wedged between 3 walls, the staff are very difficult to reach, the towels are changed every 4 days even though there is no space or towel dryer to dry them and I'm not talking about the fire alarm that went off at 6 a.m., a shame because the location is great.
After trying to contact the establishment several times I received no response.
We arrived in the room and the surface area was not as in the photos, 2 very small bath towels available for 2 adults, the trash can was filled to the brim with waste, hair, papers... So I contacted reception to leave the premises and receive a refund from them but they never knew what to do, apart from trying to call their superior who was supposed to get back to us as quickly as possible because she was not responding to anyone; I'm still waiting for his return as planned (since 02/7/25)...
It's just a huge lack of respect to make customers wait and not respond to our request!!
Following a problem with my reservation, I was unable to cancel the reservation because customer service was unreachable on several occasions.
When I finally managed to get them, they were inflexible and not understanding of my situation. It’s a real shame because I wanted to find an amicable solution.
I advise you to be very careful when making your reservations.
