Awesome place ! Came for one night, extended for 7 :) Perfect if you are looking for a soft landing in Puerto, something between a hostel and an apartment, so you can meet new people and make relationships but have your own space at the same time. House is unique and beautifully built in an ecological way. Location is perfect. Shout out to the dogs Lucy and Elliot, to the lady opposite to the house that runs the grocery store and also to Marie who makes this place the gem it is !
I loved my stay at Bambú Corner! If you are a traveler trying to be environmentally conscious, this is the place for you. I intentionally stayed here to reduce my environmental footprint in Puerto Escondido. This house is wonderfully built, the rooms are spacious, the kitchen is a wonderful place to share a morning chat over coffee, cook, and share family dinners! Marie was the most welcoming and inviting host ever and she truly made this stay so wonderful! She is so accommodating and loves to involve everyone with weekend trips/surfing exploration/family dinner nights! This was an amazing excellent place to work remotely, the WiFi is the best that you can get in Puerto! Walking distance to the beach, La Punta and Zicatela.
Its a beautiful place where I spent 1 week with some friends. Bamboo house fully open to the nature, esee view when you take your shower, easy to cook the kitchen is well equipped, plants, neutral colors, bamboo sheet in the bed was so lovely! I recommend this house if you come to Puerto Escondido.
A hidden gem right in the epicenter of Puerto Escondido. Beaches, bars and restaurants are all within a few minute walk. The house is an incredible project combining sustainability, design and comfort effortlessly. Family meals and weekend adventures make it like living with a family away from home. Internet is as good as it gets in Puerto. I loved my long term stay there so much I came back again ❤️
Bambu Corner was the co-living I moved into when I first came to Puerto and I can not have wished for a better place. The house is incredible, and it is unbelievable how Marie (the owner) managed to build such a beautiful place. The kitchen is huge, and has enough space for all to live, cook, work together. The toilets are eco-friendly which is wonderful, considering Puerto has a very bad sewage system and all the black water ends up in the ocean. So very nice to contribute to the environment in such a way - and very easy too. The rooms are big, with enough space for all that you need. And in general, Marie is the sweetest and kind person, who will make you feel at home instantly and who is always there in case you need anything. I stayed for 3 months and loved every second. Thank you!
Just spent a month in Puerto Escondido at Bambu Corner and highly recommend. Bambu has a great location off a quiet road right in the heart of La Punta where all the social life is. The room was nice, spaciously and aesthetically pleasing. Internet was reliable, and I was able to get on zooms whenever I needed. Marie, the host, is incredibly sweet, good natured, and accommodating. She also surfs and has boards available for anyone who needs them. I made some good friend here from Mexico and Canada as well and would definitely stay again.
I was lucky to stay at Casa Bambu Corner for 2 weeks last March. I really enjoyed the place and the co-living concept. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Some of them have a nice private terrace. Every room has its own office space with very good internet (Starling). The private shower and dry toilet are outside the room, which I liked. The open kitchen is very convenient and has everything you need to cook and store food. The most important is the host ! Marie does an incredible job in welcoming every guest personally and making sure everyone enjoys their stay at Casa Bambu. It’s like a big family helping each other. No age limit btw, I’m a 50+ and I really enjoyed interacting with the younger generations. If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Puerto, don’t hesitate. You won’t regret it
