We stayed there for a few days and it was very nice. The common area is really spacious and very beautifully made with plants everywhere. The rooms are lovely and the toilet system feels quite natural!! My highlight was definitely the little cat that was around :)
A home away from home. 🫶 The house is not only beautiful but also has inspiring sustainable values: like a roof garden, dry toilets, and a commitment to recycling. The rooms are very spacious and cosy, perfect to relax or work on the desk. You have your own space to isolate but you can socialise whenever you feel like it. I was supposed to stay for a month, but I ended up staying for three and made beautiful friendships and memories. Marie, the host, is simply amazing. She’s committed to making sure that everyone is has fun and feels welcome and at home. I highly recommend it. Thanks again Marie and see you soon!
I’ve stayed here twice and it’s been amazing every time. The rooms are super comfortable, with nice beds, fans, mosquito nets, and even a private office space if you need to work. What I love most is the conscious design of the place—dry bathrooms, sustainable construction, and a peaceful atmosphere that attracts beautiful, like-minded people. Marie is truly a beautiful soul. She always makes me feel welcome, has shared her surf boards (and wisdom), and has become a big part of why I keep coming back. If you’re looking for a soulful, eco-friendly place to stay in Puerto, Bambú Corner is it.
This space is everything you could ask for in the area. The calming atmosphere has a chill out area, outdoor showers that soak up the sun midday and a full kitchen that is the centre for guests. I was there in New Year’s Eve and Maria even coordinated a house potluck, this was a big highlight!! It’s a couple “blocks” from The beach, and walking distance from all the action and cute shops in Puerto. The architecture creates an exotic and relaxing vibe, especially with hammocks on each floor. Maria is there daily and is happy to help you with anything. She herself is a ray of sunshine! I can’t recommend Bambú Corner more! Chilled. Comfortable. Perfectly central.
My boyfriend and I, and small dog, lived at Bambú for one month and had such a wonderful stay. The location is perfect - two blocks from the beach, 5 minutes walking to the busy area of La Punta, 5 minutes walking to the main road for camionetas to get into town. The project Marie has created is so special, you can tell she poured her heart and soul into it. Sustainable living is super important to us so when we found this place it was perfect! The co-living is also really nice when you are looking to be around other people when visiting a new area. The place had everything we needed and Marie was very up front about what to expect when living there so there were not any surprises. We loved our stay so much, time flew by!!
I loved my stay at casa bambu and I called it home for two months. Marie is incredibly friendly and welcoming host, always going above and beyond to ensure guests feel at home and happy. I certainly arrived as a stranger and left as a friend. At casa Bambu you have your own privacy but also get to socialize with others. I really enjoyed our talks, family dinners, hikes and beach days. The space itself is beautifully designed, with a strong focus on eco-friendliness, making it feel grounded and peaceful. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach, salsa classes and multiple yoga studios. It's also a short walk from the mercado where you can buy all your fresh produce for a healthy meal. All the rooms are huge and the upstairs ones have their own balcony. I even had a private yoga class on my balcony one morning. I can't wait to go back 🎍
What an amazing place if you're looking for a true coliving in puerto this is the place no question. The owner Maria is one of the most kind welcoming and friendly people I have ever met. Maria puts so much love and care into the house and it really shows. When I first showed up just to tour a room I ended up staying for hours hangingout and then getting invited by Maria to go on a weekend beach trip to Chacahua with her and the oher guests. This was all before I had even booked a room! In conclusion I loved my stay and will defintely be back.
