Have stayed here a few times and am a big fan. For families travelling together, it's great to have the option of one hotel room with multiple bedrooms around a shared living room with large balcony.
They've obviously gone to great lengths to keep the prices as low as possible. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable, but some features were just a bit too cheap - the mini fridge didn't close, the hairdryer didn't heat, there's not sun shading for the main window so the room overheats to an extreme degree in summer. As is standard in Switzerland, this hotel has no air-conditioning so gets very hot in summer.
The team is always so welcoming, efficient and effortlessly makes you feel at home.
The family-oriented spaces are in a separate building to the hostel-format rooms, so noise or passersby at night was never an issue.
Stayed here for 1 night during a family trip. 2 bedroomed apartment had what we needed for the night. Felt secure with digital locks to the main building entrance, and room entrance. Clean and tidy.
Business advertises on booking com as having parking available, but this is just street parking and there aren’t many spaces. I had to park a block away.
First of all, I loved the common area. Even though it was a bit busy during Eurovision week, I just wanted a cozy place to sit. The reception was incredibly helpful and supportive, especially since I arrived way too early! The hostel is comfy, easy to find, within walking distance to station, well-connected by public transport, and a quiet street.
The other day, breakfast wasn’t available shortened staff, the manager kindly stepped in and made it happen. It turned out to be a lovely breakfast with access to everything on the table—all for just €14!
Great location, reception staff just a bar worker behind the desk and often is not there, not very social and USB sockets beside bed don’t work. Shared a six bed female dorm. Felt very safe as you need a code to access room. Bedding clean, towels fresh everyday. Shared three showers between whole hall of people but didn’t wait in any queues.
This was one of the nicest hostels that I have stayed in. The staff are very helpful. They give you a card to get to the airport. They have reasonably priced laundry. They are located very close to the train station and grocery stores. I highly recommend
Stylish and friendly hostel with plenty of communal areas, cute garden with fire pit to stay cosy in winter, and comfy sleeping options (private rooms, capsules, dorm beds). They offer a delicious Swiss breakfast and have facilities such as guest kitchen and cafe area to use and pool table. A few minutes walk from the station and 15 minutes from the airport it’s a great location for exploring this lovely city. Thanks for the hospitality!
Loved everything about Hyve! I choose to select a capsule bed and thought it was very comfy, I honestly slept so well and thought it was quite the experience so I highly recommend it :)
The location was quick and easy to find, on the same street as the SBB Basel which was perfect.
The staff was unreal, super kind, always very helpful and attentive - super happy I got to meet them and be surrounded by such wonderful people :)
