I had an amazing time at Italy Farm Stay! Located in the small village of Pescosolido and surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Abruzzo National Park, it has such a peaceful, green atmosphere that instantly makes you feel relaxed and part of a welcoming community.
The food is fresh, healthy, and delicious, and there’s a great mix of activities to choose from, such as yoga classes, reiki, walking meditation, horse riding, hiking, workshops, and cooking classes.
If you’re lucky, you’ll also get to spend time with nonno Giuseppe, who shares his knowledge of plants, his love for healthy food, and even a little poetry about life.
I stayed for two weeks and honestly felt like part of the family. This is the perfect place if you’re looking for peace, reflection, and a chance to reconnect with the beauty of nature. I left with my heart full of joy.
Big thank you to Italy Farm Stay for such an incredible experience. I can’t wait to come back! 💚
I had the best time at Italy Farm Stay! The people and volunteers were incredibly hospitable and generous, the outdoor morning yoga was the best way to start each day, and the fresh food for straight from the garden was magical. The rooms were definitely more on the rustic side, but it all contributes to the atmosphere of taking a step back to reflect, meditate, and appreciate the small things. I would 110% recommend this for solo travelers as well.
My 2 daughters and I did the 4 day retreat with yoga and meditation walk. We had a wonderful time. The vibe was very good, also with the other participants, we made new friends. We also did Reiki and Thai massage and these were inspirational experiences. The food was healthy and tasteful. It is a special place and many thanks to Antonelllo for organizing and taking care of us. Also many thanks to Ana for the morning yoga. We feel very enlightened after these days.
I had a few days stay with some friends at the farm. It's a lovely gem with hearty meals and helpful owner and staff. The surrounding views are stunning. A few of my favourite things were the yoga plattform nestled in nature the, and the homemade olive oil. You could come here just for the sake of the olive oil.. It's divine.
Volunteering at the farm was a truly rewarding and eye-opening experience. I had the chance to learn about sustainable agriculture, help with daily tasks like planting and harvesting, and connect with people from different backgrounds. The environment was peaceful, and the hosts were incredibly kind and supportive. It was more than just work — it was a chance to grow personally and gain a deeper appreciation for nature and community life. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity.
Unfortunately, my experience did not meet the expectations set beforehand. Communication was poor and felt very different from what was described. Upon arrival, there was a significant amount of alcohol consumption, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
While the natural surroundings were truly beautiful, the overall experience was disappointing. The food was very basic, often repetitive, served cold, and not organic as promised. The house itself was extremely cold, with no heating and no communal living space to gather in during rainy days.
As a volunteer, I felt taken advantage of. We were not provided with breakfast, and overall, the treatment didn’t reflect a fair or respectful exchange. Although I originally planned to stay for 8 weeks, I left after 5, having volunteered for just one.
I genuinely wish things had been different, especially given the potential of the location. Sadly, I cannot recommend this experience based on what I encountered.
I had the most amazing experience here. I was welcomed in like family and made many beautiful friends during my stay. The sense of community between the guests, staff & volunteers makes it so special. There are also a range of activities available, I went on a guided overnight hike where we camped at the top of the mountain. The yoga classes I went to here were also some of the best yoga, the teachers are so knowledgeable and create a beautiful and grounded space. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves making new connections, enjoys nature and wants to relax in the Italian countryside. You will leave with a full heart.
